I have several RTTS's going on. The one I am playing the most right now is Kirk Sisko, RF, Red Sox (6-5 225). Was called up end of June to Show and thanks to Russell's RTTS training points freebies I had him built up to 90's in all areas except clutch, discipline, fielding and reaction. My 1st year, during the regular season, I admittedly straight cheesed so I could win the ROY. I turned them down in the playoffs and hit ~.300 with 9 HR's, 20 RBI's and 10 steals.
In 2013 I tuned the power slider back down and in the first three weeks I've hit ~.400 with 5 HR's, 20 RBI's and 10 steals. Not bad considering I spent the 1st week and a half on the bench.
Btw, does this drive anyone else nuts? How if you get a 1st year call up and no matter how well you do you still start off 2013 on the bench/bullpen? My Braves 3B was called up to AAA after 2 weeks and after only one game at AAA got the call to the Show (May 17th I believe). I proceed to win the MVP, Silver Slugger, ROY, Hank Aaron award, World Series MVP. I get a contract offer for 5 years, ~100 million. To make sure they sign Heyward, Kimbrel, Venters and Prado I sign on the cheap for now. I get into the Spring and Opening Day I am on the bench. I swing the injury slider up to 10, and Juan Francisco gets hurt. That puts me into the starting lineup (so I swing it back to my normal 4).
Sorry to drag out the story, but why should I have to do this as the best 3B in the MLB at 19?
