Huge Tribe fan... but I'd rather see him throw really well and shutdown the Tribe just cause I want to see him pitch well. ANd we've already won the seriesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't even think Arencibia should be anything higher than a solid B either. He's a decent catcher, big power, poor contact hitter. Travis d'Arnaud is clearly the Jays catcher of the future. Arencibia should be able to be had without a whole lot of fuss, as long as the Jays aren't being robbed blind. Most likely what will happen IRL as well if he can't play first soon as d'Arnaud is ready.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It's June 12th in my Yankees Franchise. I'm in first by 1 game over BOS. TB is 1.5 games back, and TOR is 3.5 games back.
It's a cluster....um, well, you know. And I need a starting pitcher. Bad. Nova, Pineda, and Hughes all have ERA's in the 4.50's or higher.
If the standings hold over the next few weeks, during the first days of July, these out of contention teams are DYING to trade these pitchers to me:
COL Jorge De La Rosa
SD Edinson Volquez
CHW Jake Peavy
I'm using SCEA rosters, by the way. Only Peavy is performing poorly out the three, but Volquez is performing so-so. What potential prospects and how many is fair for each?
Also, if you were me, would you wait for Dan Haren or Francisco Liriano instead? These teams are in the basement (LAA and MIN), but neither will budge currently (but probably will at the end of July).
I just think I need someone closer to July 1st considering the standings.
Oh, and my Greinke and Jurrjens (who shut me out last night LOL) dreams are dead. MIL is in first and ATL is getting hot.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Volquez is sporting a 4.00 something (he's the one I'm not sure on, so let's say Volquez is performing average), and Peavy is in the low 5.00's.
I honestly don't know much about De La Rosa, but he's rated as a stud. Is he a legit 1-2 guy?
If approximate ERA's aren't enough to get an opinion, I'll post back tonight when I get home with more accurate and detailed information.
So, Nofatgirlz, if late July is too late, when would you make a deal like this? Now? I feel like June 12th is too early. Maybe not.Comment

Offhand (I'll repost later tonight if my recollection is way off), I believe only De LA Rosa may have an ERA somewhere in the 3.00's.
