Yeah, I thought it was a good deal. I could have taken Britton or Matusz instead, but given that they are both A-potential, I figured that'd be taking it too far. Arrieta has had his struggles, but I know he'd be hard to pry away. I figured that adding in a B-potential starter could alleviate some of the disparity in the trade.

Looking for a strong reliever. My bullpen is allowing far too many hits and runs at this point. Any ideas?

Lefty would be nice, I only have one in George Sherrill.

I don't know if I agree. Lannan is going to be a strong pitcher for them, but he was more of a throw in at the end of the deal. The B-potential SP was a much bigger part of the trade, coupled with Storen (who was being talked about in trades last year for BJ Upton, Jones, and Span, if I remember correctly). In terms of a "better pitcher" than Lannan, it's not like any of Zimmermann/Strasburg/Gonzalez/Jackson would have made the trade fair (it would have pushed the scale HEAVILY in their favor). Stammen? Detwiller? Duke? I think Lannan was a better inclusion than any of those guys.

Ran a Dodgers 'chise on The Show 11 and was solid with Scott Elbert. Ended up having an All-Star year for me. Easy to pitch with and induced a lot of double plays

Antonio Bastardo is pretty nice as well but he'll probably cost you more to acquire. Higher upside though

i woulda included a major-league ready high-potential OF prospect instead of Lannan than....the way i see it u can replace closers but u can't replace 25-30 hr 100 rbi middle of the line-up production

True - if only that Nats had that outside of Harper! I think I was trying to replicate what you see in real life - closers are valued very highly, even when we all know they shouldn't be as much. I would absolutely say I came out on top of the deal (as I don't make deals that I lose, on principle alone!), but I don't think that the deal was incredibly unfair either. Perhaps I'll see if I can swap another B-potential position player over to them for an F-potential who I can release.

Thanks for your thoughts on the deal.

Just came back from my own baseball practice. I tried to include mejia and a b rated pitcher, bar is 3/4 full and they say not what were looking for, anybody have any people that might make this work?

                              Great News!!!!
i was expeimenting and i can get the deal done with this:
Mets Get- Jake Arrieta and Dane Sardinha
O's Get- Manny Acosta, Michael Fulmer and Jenry Mejia
                              Wadaya Think?
I can also make the same trade minus mejia. Which one should i make?
(the mejia trade frees up 1.01 mil and the non mejia trade frees up 910k)
minus the 536k from the o's players.
ill release dane considering i dont need any more catchers and sign adam everett b/c we are in need of a ss. if tejada or cedeno struggles ill move him down and bring him up.
                              YES!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!
