about the logic, i think that it is sub par this year, before the OSFM rosters i was able to make this trade
Rays send Longoria (A) Moore (A) and Hellickson (A) to:
Dodgers (me) who gave up dee gordon (A) pitching prospect (B) and Hitting prospect (A)
which was accepted, then after i was only able to get longoria and moore or longoria and hellickson for the same guys on OSFM's roster version, but i dont think that the rays would give up their best hitter and 2 best prospects

Unfortunatley theres nothing we can do about that. I had the option to pull off a Kevin Youkilis for Tommy Hanson, Julio Tehran, and Tyler Pastornacky. Just bad trade logic.

yeah i wasnt sure if this was just a strictly trade advice thread or about logic as well so i figured i would throw my two cents in. but on an advice note im the dodgers, like i said i have longoria, but im looking for a 7 or 8 hitter for contact to stick in the bottom of my line up... any ideas?

infield, second or short i have bruce kemp and either in the OF and loney and longoria at the corners, also devin meseraco behind the plate (acquired in the bruce trade, he sucks during the sim but normally i can get 2 solid singles with him) so definately a middle infielder

Ryan Sweeney? Hes pretty fast and you could easily aquire him from Boston.

ok thanks for both of the replies, i definately like speed down there because i love being able to steal with kemp speed is a huge part of my game, i only have 2 A prospects left and one of them is ruby de la rosa who i just called into the 5th spot so joe blanton isnt my 5th starter so ill look into dealing for both of those guys

I want Longo for 3B for my Cubs...but I dunno where to even start offering. Obviously I'd like to keep it as real as possible...yet still ya know...I mean, I know the likelihood of Tampa dealing Longo...not looking for THAT real...rather I guess I should say something fair to trade for him.

i think that they really want a short stop so if you were willing to give up castro and a prospect you might be able to get him, or maybe even throw soriano in there to get that contract out of the way

The poster above is correct. The only way the Rays would ever deal Longoria is if you dealt Castro, who is the best player on the Cubs, according to the game, and a couple A prospects. Longoria is the face of that team, and is not going anywhere in real life.

Why in the world would a small-market team take on Soriano's ridiculous contract? Castro plus a prospect would not be enough to get it done considering ur takin out one of few power bats in TB's lineup and replacing it with a line drive hitter

im not sure market applies here... why did they take dee gordon from me? i think they just want A prospects, the rays build talent, and about soriano, the rays outfield is banged up with upton and fuld hurt and maybe he could dump that contract
