If I chipped in Matt Barnes, (20, B pot) or Jackie Bradley Jr. (19, B pot.) would this trade be fair, or at least somewhat realistic?

Well, Matt Moore and Jeremy Hellickson are nowhere near the same kind of pitcher. Moore throws gas and is a power pitcher. Where Hellickson is a control guy. He places the ball, doesn't have a ton of velocity, gets out by getting guys to hit into them, he is not blowing guys away like Moore can.

Both are great pitchers and both are very different kinds of pitchers. Comparing one to the other is silly. The only thing that they have in common is they are both on the same team. Other than that, you couldn't find two pitchers more different from each other.

Saying "Hellickson is basically Moore, just a tad worse," sounds completely ignorant to what kind of pitcher each player is.

i dont look at that trade as a rip-off....Beckett's a 31-year old ace.....he might have some mileage on him but he puts up solid numbers....if u wanted to get rid of Beckett, i wouldnt be obliged to give up another player/prospect especially since u'll be receiving 2 of Texa's top 5 prospects

Thanks. i wasnt quite sure if it was. Your probbly right. He still has 2 years left on his contract too, so I could see why they would do that trade IRL based on his abilities.

i didnt say anything about how they throw or style of pitchers they are. i talked about their skill level, both are future aces thats why i compared them, not based on pitching style just that they are great pitchers, and in my opinion moore is better than hellickson but not by much i cant sound ignorant on something i didnt talk about because i never talked about how they pitch just that they are both great pitchers, im sorry that your so offended by it

i stated that they were both A prospects and seeing as how this is a relatively solid baseball community i think that a majority of people know the talent that these two have. im sorry that it wasnt the most specific description of the two pitchers in question i think that everyone knows that they are great and im just saying that i think moore will be better than hellickson.

Don't need him to start right away. Bloomquist is batting .330+ in the lead off spot. Just like the roster flexibility the trade would give me.
