Pitching is oviously the braves strength, with julio teheran needing room to start, I made the trade because I love the speed he brings to my lineup.
I traded Rasmus and some prospects for Jurrjens in my Jays franchise.

Exactly, I wanted prado to be my super utility guy, I want to be able to rest chipper as much as I can so he can stay healthy!

Went ahead and made the decision to trade for Casey McGehee for 2 decent prospects on the day of the trade deadline...Detroit has been lights out lately ive been struggling to keep up pace.

Nope, 2 C's I believe, the Dodgers didnt even have McGehee in the MLB as they had Kennedy and Uribe, even though McGehee is higher rated.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Not a fan of Dan Uggla, so to unload him I did a 3 team trade with Detroit and Tampa.

I sent Uggla to Detroit for 3 prospects, 2 A pitchers and a C Catcher. The catcher actually has pretty good ratings, and could actually contribute at the major league level for Tampa if they call him up.

I then sent those 3 prospects to the Rays for BJ Upton and Tim Beckham. For lineup purposes I adjusted the Rays roster by moving Zobrist to the outfield, Jennings to CF and Rodriguez to 2B. For now they have Keppinger/Brignac platooning at SS until Hak-Ju Lee is ready.

With my new roster I put Upton in Left and moved Prado back to 2B. Sure I lost the 35+ home run power, but I feel like I improved my defense and added some speed.

isnt McGehee in the Pirates organization?

Even tho i am a Uggla fan, your trade doesnt seem far-fetched...Upton does need a change of scenery and hopefully Beckham can live up to his potential...Your lineup is not depleted however if Upton can make up for some of Uggla's homers and with Heyward, McCann, Freeman and a healthy Chipper surrounding him, u might not even notice Uggla's departure

Trade logic still has a ways to go... I finally got around to playing it today.

They fixed some of it... but I shouldn't be able to continue making these steals.

Either I'm a better video game manager than I thought, or the game still needs work. I'm more inclined to say the latter.

It's def the latter....it's too bad the game doesnt recognize Mariano Rivera as a HOF closer but just as another 40-year old pitcher.....No-trade clauses and implementing the 10-5 clause would def be a big help

I appreciate it. I try to go for realism and I thought it was pretty realistic. The only thing I was debating on is if I got too much from the Rays in Upton AND Beckham. But I'm thinking the Rays are gonna go with Hak-Ju Lee at short anyways, and I gave them a catcher who could contribute now (which they could definately use), and two A pitchers who are both young (19 & 20 I believe). So they have time to develop, and the Rays have options down the road at SP in case they cant sign Price/Shields.

i dont think u received too much since the Rays were openly willing to trade Upton last year if the price was right...and its not like u gave up trash either...u better be receiving something of value if ur trading 2 young A pitchers
