Oh I've stopped paying attention to the logic, I have CPU Trades turned off.

Good to see your franchise back though.

Prospects are youngins you HOPE will be good, Sale is a youngin who IS good, this is my point. Obviously, if the offer has Profar or Olt, then yeah, take it/consider it (respectively), but the Rangers would never offer Profar cause they'd be getting ripped and Olt isn't enough.

To be fair, I bashed the chit out of the Latos deal on SD's side in RL when it happened. I didn't like that deal for them personally, although its clear that SD valued the prospects more than an arm who would be wasted on a squad that wasn't planning on contending in the years Latos would have been renewable...especially if they gave him up for Volquez and a couple really good prospects.

Right, the current Ranger's GM would not. Maybe what's his name as the Ranger's GM would...especially in this game where you know how 95% of the prospects will turn out.

          I'll drop it though.

Thank you, sincerely--and I didn't like it for SD then either. They might pull some surprises next year though.

Seriously though--I value your input. If my ChiSox were to continue sucking, which team could I consider pulling off something similar with? I was considering Texas before today for Perez, that 3B they traded IRL (can't remember his name right now), and someone not named Olt/Profar...

I think both of us are just arguing our own points right now and paying little heed to the other's, and that's a great way to drive an argument into the wall. I screwed up my knee again (god I'd be a turrible catcher) and I need some sleep. Night.

Honestly, I'm not trying to win an argument, just have my point understood. If I am running my Sox (Kenny, you drafted your own son!!! You're fired! ) and trading Sale while he is most valuable is best for my 'chise in my opinion--is that too unrealistic? Honest question here...same as knowing the Rangers wouldn't trade Olt/Profar IRL but if I wanted to as their GM in my 'chise to get Greinke-is that too unrealistic? I am seriously asking you and everyone else.

Meanwhile, good luck on your sleep (hope your knee doesn't keep you up). Too many miles running while in the Marines means I know how you feel...

When you're rebuilding, you don't trade a key part of your future who's an ace at 22. When you're contending, you just don't trade an ace.

Best pitcher on the Sox but wouldn't be the best on another team, like the Rangers.

I think it'd be fair to refer to Sale as a soft ace (speaking in fantasy baseball terms)

Talk to me when he throws 200 innings in back to back seasons. He starting to wear down already.

Exactly what Totte said, but he's developing nicely into an ace. Just not quite there yet.

No offense RJackson, but it doesn't take much to be your ace.

Alright guys I know I've asked this before, but I hate making trades and I really want to make sure I'm keeping it fair and a tad bit realisic.

                          Twins trade

Kyle Gibson: High B 24 y/o SP has good attributes. 7-3 in AAA with a 2.06 ERA.

Aaron Hicks: Mid-Low B maybe? CF/OF. hes somewhere between 20-23 I'm thinking 21. Decent overall. batting .276 with 13 Hrs and 42 RBIs in AAA.

                          Cubs trade

Matt Garza: Hes struggling has a cold emblem hes 1-5 with a 4.68 ERA.

Cubs are completly and I mean have no shot at the playoffs, While I'm 1.5 games back of the White Sox even though I have one of the worse pitching staffs in the AL ( Bullpen is good though so that keeps my team ERA down. )

                          Fair?

Definitely has ace type stuff (two plus pitches, average third pitch, plus/plus command), just needs to prove he can stay injury free for a full season.

                              If you're in 2012, that's fine. If you're in 2013, that's too much for a rental.
