And yes, the Crow deal seems to be working out nicely as well. They do love them some Crow out there in Kansas though so make sure it's quality that fits a need going back in returnFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

It's a fair trade... I just don't see the Tigers doing that. They could wait for a few months into the season and see if he turns things around for a possible World Series run, or to get more value out of him.
Even if Verlander had a poor season, I would bet they would still re-sign him just because they could do it for a good price.
Bottom line for me is: they are trading a former MVP, in his prime, at his lowest value... it just doesn't seem like a move they would pull in the off-season.Denver Broncos

31 years old and a lot of mileage on his arm by that point. Agree that Dombrowski would be selling for that package.

31's right in his prime. I feel like the Tigers would give Verlander a shot for the first half of the season... he could break out and have another MVP season and with them in contention anyway there's no reason to force a trade to get rid of someone that's shown signs of being the best in the league.

The former MVP thing is EXTREMELY SUBJECTIVE (Bitter about JB not winning).

I'm new to this whole thing. I just created my account and I've been a fan of the rosters for the whole season. I'm courious to as you discuss realistic or fair? I go towards more fare and I've heard rumors the Rangers are trying to get Felix Hernandez.
Felix Hernandez
for
Andrus/ Profar
Moreland
2 mid level prospects.
What all do you think I would have to include to make this fair?Comment

If you want to be unrealistic, then....

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What do you guys feel is a fair deal for Dickey.
In my franchise, Texas has really had some bad starting pitching, so I signed Dickey to a deal in the off season (So it's like his option year IRL) and I'm between these two deals.
Texas Gets:
R.A Dickey
Mets Receive:
Mike Olt
Martin Perez
OR--------------------------------------------------------
Texas Receives:
R.A Dickey
Reese Havens
Mets Receive:
Martin Perez
Elvis Andrus
I wanted to add Havens to the second deal because I feel Andrus has more trade value in that he's had major league success and is still developing. Havens has had a lot of injury problems but could still be a solid player, if he ever makes it. I also want Andrus because a middle infield of Ruben Tejada/Elvis Andrus could be very productive for my Mets.
I retained Wright, so I feel that Mike Olt wouldn't be as valuable in that he'd have to play the outfield, which obviously isn't his natural position, but he could still be very good wiht the bat.
Dickey is making 3 years, 31 million by the way. His stats in my franchise were:
18-7, 2.88 ERA, 212 K's, 1.079 WHIPComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
They weren't even willing to trade Olt for Dempster, and Texas has actually tried to acquire Andrelton Simmonds and flip him for Justin Upton rather than trade Andrus."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Where'd you hear that? I heard they were actually considering trading Andrus because of there IF being too crowded. And then I heard they were going to move Kinsler to OF. I really wouldn't say Olt and Andrus are untradeable, just really hard to getComment
