Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I honestly don't know. After every offseason I sign him to at least a 3 year deal and then he's taken first in the rule 5 draft. He'd be a great guy to target for my Pirates Franchise, although OF isn't really what I need. I have been considering trading for Arencibia but I just don't know how much I can afford to lose at this point. Pitching is what I need the most though as the team ERA is up towards 5. Granted the team BA is down towards .220 but you know what they say "pitching and defense wins games." So I want to target a young SP prospect preferably an A Pot of course but if anything I just don't know what to realistically give up and who to targetComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
My Pirates have really been struggling the first month of the season, winning only 3 games. I am actually considering trading Tabata, who's onlh hitting .156 and has 17 K's already, to see what I can get for him. Is he someone I should try and hold on to? Or should I try and get someone for him? Also, what would be something reasonable to help my team out to get if I give up Tabata? I have not made any moves so far so my roster looks the same as the normal Pirates.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

And you can sign someone to a deal, but if they aren't on your 40 man roster, they are eligible for the Rule 5.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Will sending him down to the minors help him progress more? Or just get out of a slump? I've always wondered what the benefit f keeping prospects in the minors is. I was hoping a could deal Tabata for a nice prospect pitcher but nothing seemed to work out. So it seems I still have to hold off on finding some more good SP prospects to developComment

Yeah, I have the oppurtunity to get JP and give up Hanrahan, Grossman, and a B Pot SP 24 yrs old. I could also get Gose back in the deal too... just not sure how realistic that would be. What about dealing those three for JP? How does that sound?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I like those three for JPA. Adding Gose might be a bit of a stretch, as I'm not sure why they'd be willing to throw him in. Anyway you could get JPA without throwing in Hanrahan?Writer for Operation Sports

Only way I see is either to replace Hanrahan with Neil Walker or Garrett Jones. I figured if I lost Hanrahan then I could move Meek to CP and sign Rhodes to a 1 year deal or maybe Mike Gonzalez to a 2 or year dealComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just made the JP trade and gave up Hanrahan, Grossman, and Locke (24 yr old B Pot SP). I got just JP in return. I plan on moving Meek to CP and signing a veteran to hold down the setup role with Meskos. How does this final trade look? Good decision?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
why would u trade Price if he's 3-4? and u practically robbing the Snakes would be the biggest understatement of the yearSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

I decided to pull the trigger on the Justin Morneau trade.I wanted to wait a little longer as I'm on May 29th, but I have fell to 5 games behind Boston(They don't lose!) and my offense could really use that lefty bat in the middle of the order behind Bautista.Kevin Comer(19 yr old B pot SP) and Sean Nolin(22 yr old C pot RP) for Justin Morneau.
The main 2 things that made it easier was the Twinkies dropping to 10 games out, and my next 3 games is a huge series against those BoSox so having Morneau for that will be nice
As of right now the only thing on my list would be an ace pitcher, but I'll wait til July to see what's going on there.
