I forgot the NL Central was almighty...The Brewers, Astros & Cubs are just so tough to beat..

Don't worry though when they sweep the Padres this week they'll be the best team in baseball

Weakest division in baseball my backside. The Pirates and the Cardinals (and Gawd how I hate to admit this) and the Cardinals are decent teams.

Even Houston may be competitive next season.

Ooo my god I'm done after that comment I'll leave off with Cubs, Astros, Brewers, all those teams would lose close to 100 games in the AL East. The pirates wouldn't be in contention in any American League Division. They have one position player besides McCutchen with a WAR over 1.4

yupp....unfortunately....but that's another story for another day....Reds are a solid team...i just find it hard to believe a lefty reliever would catapult them over the top

Actually, we already are a better team than the Angels. We're in first place in the NL Central; the Angels? Third place in the AL Weak. Outside of Jered Weaver, your pitching is mediocre.

Don't underestimate setup guys, my friend. They don't get a lot of press, but they are so valuable.

A.) Your pitching? Erm, Blue Jays fan.
B.) Wow, the NL Central. Tough division, woah...
C.) They just traded for Grienke at a steal, and have Dan Haren and C.J. Wilson. Sorry, but Bronson Arroyo/Johnny Cueto/Mat Latos doesn't live up to that.
D.) No, not really. Set up guys are overrated. Anyone can do that job.
E.) You're really overrating your Reds.
F.) You guys really should trade for Span. Drew Stubbs isn't acceptable ATM for the 'world series winners to be.' A .233 BA would even look bad on the Jays, and that's saying something.

It would take 5 setup guys to equal the value of an above average everyday player

We need someone else instead of Bray to be a lefty setup man, but otherwise I think we're set to win the whole enchilada.

That, to me, says that you believe if the Reds replace Bray they will win the WS. Correct me if I'm wrong, but "The Whole Enchilada" is the WS no?

As weak as the AL Weak is, they may contend for a wild card.

The Angels are a really good team with great hitters and one good starting pitcher. You can't win a World Series with that.

Weaver: 13-1, 2.26 ERA (outstanding)
Wilson: 9-7, 2.88 ERA (mediocre record, great ERA)
Haren: 8-8, 4.59 ERA (to call this mediocre is a kindness)
Williams: 6-7, 4.56 ERA (not good)
Santana: 4-10, 6.00 ERA (hide your eyes kids!)


The Reds:

Cueto: 13-5, 2.39 ERA
Latos: 9-3, 4.17 ERA
Bailey: 9-6, 3.53 ERA
Arroyo: 6-6, 3.76 ERA
Leake: 4-6, 4.12 ERA

Our rotation is simply better. We lost a lot of games early, but we've come on strong in the last month or so. Particularly in the last ten games. Which means we'll soon have a bald announcer. Oy vey!
