Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I wasn't looking to trade all of those players, just a couple, they were all expendable and hampering my team more then helping. On a side note, I lost to Texas AGAIN, 4-2 in the ALCS. Re-signed all my FA's and made 1 big signing in FA, Josh Johnson. Porcello and Scherzer have both moved to Long Relief, but could start elsewhere, Max could be a number 1 on many teams, finished last season with 237 SO's.
I will likely move either Rick or Max this season as I'd rather call up Below from AAA then hold onto both of their contracts as RP's.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What do you guys think of this trade.
Royals get:
Max Scherzer
Mid-B prospect RP
Tigers get:
Aaron Crow
Max will be head and shoulders better then any other starter KC currently has. It's still May, so I'm not making the trade yet, but figured I'd gauge interest.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
That's fine. You could also give a low B SP, 2B, SS, or LF prospect instead of the mid-B."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Baker + Pastornicky couldn't get an A prospect OR Dempster, so why can they get an A prospect AND Dempster?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Dempster was in the bullpen for the O's, and the shortstop that they had(and were sending me) had a overall rating of D. I just didn't like Pastornicky :/ and plus I love baker, But he would do better in the AL, cause I find his hitting worse when noone gets on for him.Check out my Youtube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWV...8TLczYIvDdlQgA

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm using a fantasy draft Phillies team and I was just offered a trade:
Receiving:
CC Sabathia (2-6, 5.06 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 59 K, 17 BB)
Giving:
1B Anthony Rizzo (C-A) - .250/.274/.467
SP Tommy Hanson (B-A) - (5-3, 3.47 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 39 K, 6 BB)
SS Xander Bogaerts (D-A) - .277/.323/.358 (AA)
I almost feel like I'm giving up a little too much.. what do you think? The Rockies are god-awful 45 games in so I can see why they would want to shed CC's huge contract and get 3 potential studs in return. I'm not REALLY looking too hard for starting pitching but I would have a GREAT rotation if I did the trade. I'm 4.0 GB in the division, so I'm definitely still in the race.
BTW, the Rockies have Adam Dunn at 1st so Rizzo is useful, but they have Dee Gordon at SS so I don't know what they would want with Bogaerts, but..
Opinions?Comment
