Oh, okay. How much for Mike Trout, then?

I hope it is obvious that I'm joking now...

Serious question, anyone ever have a pitcher having a horrible year bounce back and have a great 2nd half in this game?

I've seen Gio do it. He went 2-8 to begin the year and finished it 17-9. But then again Floyd and Gio are two VERY different people!!!

Thx, I'm not seeing anything fair & realistic for me to get and help with the 2nd half push and I was thinking that theoretically, the game would give him a hot streak to level out his stats at least somewhat. Just a theory.

I remember reading that this game looks at age instead of MLB sevice time to decide on arbitration. Is that true? How do you tell when a player is still under team control then?

No that's not true. R.A. Dickey is 38 and this is his first FA year. Matt Garza is 29 and is still arb. eligible. Mike Rivera is 36, still arb. eligible. Lot's of other things but I'm too lazy too look...

This is in the Transactions Handbook, if you want the right definition.

NEXT YEAR is Dickey's first FA year because of extensions, I think. And of Rivera/Garza, we WAS right, they're late FAs because of service time.

I know the real rules and the old rules IRL, I just remember seeing something about the game screwing it up and using age vs. service time for arbitration/FA but I won't worry about it then.

                Thx.

What about going for a pitchers like Garza, Dan Haren, Jonathan Sanchez, Greinke?

Just throwing some ideas out there. (I only put Jonathan Sanchez in there because he would be fairly cheap, he's a lefty, and I pitched well with him.) Not sure if your lookin for a righty or lefty

Thanks. All those guys are either on contending-ish teams who wouldn't trade them or are too expensive to get.

Hey so I'm currently the Cubs and it's the all star break. I'd like to make a trade centered around David Dejesus and Torii Hunter. What would be fair/realistic?

im assuming ur contending since u want Hunter? if so, the Angels wuddnt accept DeJesus in return....give em a couple of C propsects instead depending on how Hunter is performing

Angels may not want prospects if they're contending. DeJesus plus a pitcher, like Samardijza or whatever, would be fine.

P.S. bout damn time you stopped lurking and started responding, NFG.
