Yep. After you pick your team and hit start, the option comes up for your franchise. You can only choose cpu trades off here. It actual let you know you can only choose it there. If you hit start without changing it. You will not be able to change it afterwards. So, if you already started a franchise and didn't change it there. Sorry, but you're screwed.

Re: Franchise trading.
Progressed 3 more weeks in franchise, and Pujols was now traded from the Phillies to Detroit for Prince. Matt Kemp was traded for Ryan Braun and Cole Hamels was traded for Tim Lincecum. I just don't understand it.Comment

It's actually a quite simple process, and takes all but 1-2 minutes before each game to see if their is a trade offer on the table.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
Go to user settings.
Create one for yourself (I use my name).
Go to the mode specific section and put every option that DOESN'T say RTTS to manual.
Next, create another profile for the rest of the teams you DON'T wish to control in your franchise (I named it computer).
Again, go to the mode specific section but this time change all the options to Auto.
Now create a franchise.
Under the Select User Teams menu, go to the team(s) you want to control.
Select the team(s) and use the right analog stick to choose your profile with the manual settings.
Then go through every other team you DON'T wish to control and use the second profile you created with the auto settings.
Next, make sure the Instant Trades option is off under the Mode Entry Options menu.
Now all you have to do is check the pending transactions under the transaction menu and you can accept/reject any trade.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
I've noticed a lot of trades too. One thing I did notice was the trades teams made would fit what they are trying to do; ie: win now, rebuilding, etc. But I don't think thats the problem, its the names being traded which is what the question is but there is no legit way to make a team favor player A or player B.NFL: Green Bay Packers

bigger issue, isn't this related to every player (or most players I should say) having a 1 year contract. Hopefully the OSFM's fix this but SCEA should at least try and mimick the real contracts by correct years.Comment

Hmm, I knew that about McCutchen. He must have been with someone else and I typed Pirates. Didn't know Papelbon was a Phillie.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
Most players do have a 1 yr deal, which is then either renewed at the minimum and goes through arbitration yearly. Big name players tend to have long term deals but the majority of MLB run on 1 year deals, the game has it right in this respect.Comment

Here are the trades ive seen so far.
Aroldis Chapman for Michael Choice (meh, stupid but maybe Cincy wanted the CF)
Zach Wheeler for Brett Anderson
Red Sox seem to have traded for Cespedes only to then trade him for Jimmy Rollins
Reds then trade Choice to Colorado for Cuddyer
Royals trade Mike Montgomery for Wandy Rodriguez (dumb trade, I mean really stupid)
Mouse tacos traded for David Wright
Yu Darvish for Roy Halladay (wtf?)
ATL trades Freeman and Delgado for Justin Moreneau
Yankees traded some minor leaguer for Torii Hunter
Brandon Belt for Carlos Pena
Alfonso Soriano for Travis d'Arnaud
Ichiro traded for some minor leaguer
I mean there were a lot of very good trades, but some very big head scratchers.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
Seeing these lists means im considering using 30 team control for the first time ever.
That said i might just live and let live, who knows, or simply keep trading off until at least halfway through the season.Comment
