Re: Franchise trading.
Is there a way to do this and not have to pick a player from the draft for each team?Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
Go to the main menu and select option (4th icon over).
Go to user settings.
Create one for yourself (I use my name).
Go to the mode specific section and put every option that DOESN'T say RTTS to manual.
Next, create another profile for the rest of the teams you DON'T wish to control in your franchise (I named it computer).
Again, go to the mode specific section but this time change all the options to Auto.
Now create a franchise.
Under the Select User Teams menu, go to the team(s) you want to control.
Select the team(s) and use the right analog stick to choose your profile with the manual settings.
Then go through every other team you DON'T wish to control and use the second profile you created with the auto settings.
Next, make sure the Instant Trades option is off under the Mode Entry Options menu.
Now all you have to do is check the pending transactions under the transaction menu and you can accept/reject any trade.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
So I did do as stated above and made 2 separate profiles or w/e you want to call them and turned on auto for my computer user in all the fields. This does then allow for you to reject or withdrawl trades. However you do need to check pending transactions for every team every day or so or one can slip by (let me know if there is an easier way to check this but to my knowledge i didnt see anything).
So to get around checking every team every few days I did turn off trading for the computer profile until right before the all-star break. This can be done by going into your User Setting and selecting your computer profile and under Mode Specific turning trades to Manual. Thus creating a period of around a month where trading was "allowed" (after turning trading to Auto again) and as I simmed games day by day I would check every teams proposed trades and if there were any crazy trades i could reject them.
Personally this works pretty well for me as I'll probably only play 4/5 games a month of my franchise so checking the transactions isn't to much of a problem but i'm still trying to decided how to handle trading in the off season as that would take some time to check pending transactions every couple days while already sitting thru the long off season. I think I've already decided to turn off trading off after the trading deadline, thus eliminating waiver deals but that obviously is up to personal preference tooI sent this from my brian...oh wait make that brainComment

Re: Franchise trading.
Two questions:
1. Is Instant Trading ON or OFF by Default when I start a Franchise?
2. If it's ON, can I toggle it back to OFF during my Franchise?Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
You only get the on/off option once, and its when you start franchise. You cannot toggle it back and fourth anytime during franchise mode.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
I'll comment on this and some of the other things in controlling all 30 teams as after reading thru this tread I decided to do a little investigating hehe....

Re: Franchise trading.
There's no way to control the drafting in 30 team control, but you can simulate it...
that is the only drawback to 30 team control. Otherwise it works well.
And instant trades default is OFF, if you set it to on- you have to un-do trades... there are no "pending transactions"
And I think using Madden's "player roles" would be good here, but even then they weren't implemented that well. A -level prospects get moved during the deadline...but not as much as this game does.
Honestly, I think the trading got worse.Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
Too bad the "Lead Profile" account can't have an option to be prompted for inter-team trading. Such as like the Lead Profile can act as commissioner and can stop any pending trades when a team agrees to them.MLB The Show 21 Stadium Creator

Re: Franchise trading.
so with 30 team control and 2 profiles you can stop the crazy trades. I assume that the single team profile club can get CPU initiated trades and react to these as appropriate. How are folks handing when you want to initiate a trade? If you do nothing, you will get every trade you want approved by the CPU team, correct? So how are folks balancing this out to keep it fair? In other games when I don't see wacky trades I will try to initate a deal with the CPU and if it is a lopsided deal for me I skip it. Sometimes you try to rip them off and you can't. How are people handling it here?
Thanks!Comment

Re: Franchise trading.
On one of the franchises I simmed I didn't get any really crazy trades just some minor ones. I know the White Sox dumped players becasue they were loosing and the tigers keep calling up Victor Martinez. I've now restarted my franchise and put him in A ball and I might take him off the 40 that way he won't get called up I hopeComment

Re: Franchise trading.
That All-star team on the first page is ridiculous and pretty much unbelievable lol
The only crazy trades I have seen actually make sense, teams dumping cap or rebuilding. For instance the Philly's are back to back WS champions and in 2014 they decided to trade their whole team.
Anyone with 5 Mil+ a year contracts are on the trade block.
Craziest trade I've seen yet is Worley and Howard for Konerko, strange...
(Although the rangers with the two best young short stops in the game (Andrus and Castro) is a bit odd)Comment
