Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
REMINDER TO ALL OPERATION SPORTS USERS!
Just because you see that all 30 franchises in the OS Arbitration Panel project have representatives, please don't forget that multiple representatives ARE WELCOMED and in fact ENCOURAGED so that the thread works more efficiently as people are on at different times each day.
Please don't think you can't get involved as far as actually representing a team!
Please don't think if you aren't a representative that you can't negotiate a trade -- that's the WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE THREAD is for the individual franchise user!
Just a quick reminder after 50+ pages of thread and a now fully represented MLB! Thanks again to all for their support and unbelievable posts in this thread!I'm just an old guy sports gamer...Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Guys, I have updated page 1 with the 30-team representative list. I likely will not come back to this thread as anything other than a troll since summer school is in full swing.
Good luck all.Comment

might wanna erase the Squads that need Representation part as all teams are accounted for with at least 1 repLast edited by 37; 06-07-2012, 02:48 PM.Steelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Thinking about parting ways with Starling Marte in my franchise, just not exactly sure what team would want him....Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
If I had a real, alternate LHP option to put in his spot, I'd probably keep him in AAA. The Tigers don't, and he definitely is not a BAD option, even this early. I would definitely devote a training slot to Long Distance Running for your starters, he needs to improve on his stamina. He can give you five good innings though, so as long as you aren't relying on him to lead a rotation at this point -- you can feel fairly flexible with him.
In my franchise, if I was able to get this trade through -- I'd probably be slotting in Duane Below, as he's also left handed. I need at least one left handed starter... was going to sign Rich Harden in my FA pool but I really feel especially in game that I need at least one lefty starter.Comment

in which folks are discussing draft and development strategies. It has revolutionized the way I look at the game, I'm now working on a detailed development plan for all of the Cubs minor leaguers. Worth looking and/or participating in for anyone serious about long term franchise building, to go along with what we're trying to do here, give franchisers a place to go to negotiate trades, again with an eye toward realistic, deep franchise progress.Comment

I absolutely do not mean to sidetrack this thread, so don't reply directly to this post unless you have to, but since I figure everyone looking at this thread is running a franchise, and the question came up (and pokerplaya answered it well) of how to deal with a given prospect (Smyly, in this case), I've been really fascinated recently with these threads:

To: All GM's
From: The Chicago Cubs
Subject: Available Players for 2012
Hey everyone,
We are ten games in now and haven't gotten off to the start we had hoped. We are almost ready to begin our rebuilding process. The first process for us is to trade our older, yet productive MLB starters that can contribute to other teams. Any of our players are available if the right offer is made.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
The Chicago CubsComment

Ryan Dempster
We are actively trying to trade Dempster. We were sorry to hear about your injuries to Gio and Halladay, and it's sad that they'll be out for 2-3 months each. Let us know if you're interested.Comment
