Re: Those get up and yell moments...

    Had 2 of them today.

Pitching a 1 hitter with Andrew Miller, it was scoreless going into the 7th. Smacked a homerun down the right field line with Ryan Kalish. Or so I thought. The umpires reviewed it, and during the replay it showed it went foul. The umpires came back out, and correctly ruled it a foul ball. Two pitches later I smacked a homerun over the center field wall. Now it's 1-0.

Five minutes later, because we had the air conditioners running downstairs, and with my Dad vacuuming he ended up blowing a fuse and we lost power downstairs. Thanks Dad!

Here's a get up and yell moment I just had.

Playing the A's in my Angels franchise. They have Dallas Braden on the mound. Here's his crazy state line.

      IP - 9, NP - 92, R - 0, SO - 15, H - 3

Don't know where it came from, but his circle change was unhittable. Whenever he got 2 strikes on me, it was next. I could just stand there or swing. No matter what it was a strikeout. That circle was nibbling corners like a mad man. Reminded me of Zito with his curve when he was on the A's.

You can call it being a "Homer". But as Tupac said, its California Love.

      My Teams
      NFL- San Francisco 49ers
      NBA- Los Angeles Lakers
      NHL- Anaheim Ducks
MLB - Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
      NCAA - USC

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

Agreed, this is the only game that makes me get up and yell when I come through.

        I had 2 of them.

The first one was the Yankees vs Angles. I was down 3-0 entering the 8th inning and I only produced 2 hits. Santana had me on smash. Well in the 8th inning I cam up huge with 3 runs to tie the game, and I was freaken screaming at the TV with excitement.

Game went into extra inning, and Mark Texiera hit a 2 run hr, and Ibanez followed with a solo. I won that game and i was so hyped. ONly this game can bring this level of joy out of me.

My second game was against Detroit. I jumped up 4-0 on them in the 1st inning. Bottom of the second they jumped on me with 6 runs. Then added 3 more in the 3rd. I was down 9-4 in a instant. I then got 2 in the 5th and made the game 9-6. Bottom of the 5th Cabrera hits a solo shot to make it 10-6.

I told myself just one batter at a time. Dont try to get all at once. Well I exploded in the 6th. Getting 9 runs to take a 15-10 lead. Well the Tiger didn't stop there. The get 4 more runs to make it a 15-14 game entering the 9th. I then got 2 more off a 2 run HR to make the score 17-14, and then in the bottom of the 9th detroit tacked on another run, but I held them with to preserve the win at 17-15. It was a crazy freaken game

This game here is no joke and when you win. You feel like you deserved it

I love this Game so much

Playing my cardinals franchise and I was playing against the Braves. It was tied up going into extra innings but I was confident that I could win it as the score was 2-2. Well after just dominating the Braves with a combination of Romero, Salas, and Westbrook I got to the bottom of the 17th inning. I had Chone Figgins leading off(traded for him earlier) so I wasn't expecting to win it with him. I'm facing a submariner in Peter Moylan so my confidence is pretty low. But the first pitch Figgins mashes a fastball that just got out of right field. I was so freakin pumped that I won and the game was finally over! Probably one of the best moments do far on the show.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

Today I went in the bottom of the ninth trailing the Angels 8-5. First batter up was CarGo and he had a long ab but eventually popped it up for the first out. Tulo came up next and hit a first pitch line drive...right at Pujols. So with 2 outs Helton came up, I hit a little bloop base hit followed by a Cuddyer walk. I was feeling pretty confident at this point. I pinch hit EY for Pacheco and hit a little flare right over the 2B's head, Helton scored and Cuddyer moved up. Next batter Rosario, I didn't waste any time and crushed a homer to left. Craziest win I've ever had.

I was cruising along up 3-0 with AJ Burnett allowing only two hits thru seven innings. Despite still having some stamina and nearly full confidence, old AJ went wild on me. He left the game with runners on 1st & 3rd and no out, clinging to a 3-2 lead following a bases loaded single. In comes Jason Grilli from the 'pen... to strike out the side! There was much rejoicing.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

OK, so for my N.L. franchise, i chose the Nationals. And we're about halfway through June. My Nat's (20-10) are going up against the Pirates (16-15). It was my ace Strasburg(6-0, 1.59 ERA) vs they're number 5 guy Brad Lincoln(0-3, 5.50 ERA). I had kinda been in a slump, loosing the past 2 games, but since stras was on the mound, and i was facing their worst pitcher, i was feeling pretty confident about my chances, almost cocky. But boy was i being stupid. It turns out i was facing Cy Young in his prime, and the All-time gold glove team in the field.

Ok, so I got rocked in the first inning by McCutchen on a 3-run triple, so i was down 3-0 early, but i was still confident. But that's before i met lincoln's 81 mph slider straight from the depths of hell. When it looked like a perfect strike right down the middle, as soon as you swing it starts to dive down and out of the zone. And when i lay off of it, it PERFECTLY hits the outside paint and i get rung up. (a lot of yelling on that) Then, every blue moon i would get a mistake fastball right down the middle, and I would crush it.... BUT, i forgot the pirates had gold glovers at every position. Every line drive seemed to be perfectly hit, but out of nowhere, Walker, Alvarez, McCutchen, would dive and catch the ball. If there was ESPN integration, the pirates would've had 6 top 10 plays.

Fastforward to the top of the 9th, Cy Young finally is out of the game and the score is 5-0, but i managed to get the bases loaded with only 1 out, and Bryce Harper is up. He hits a ball down the line, two run double. (5-2)(I was literally about to go do a victory lap, but i kept myself in check, knowing that i still had a long way to go). So then they walk Zimmerman, and Morse is up with bases loaded, 1 out. Their reliever leaves a mistake, right down the middle, I completely crush the ball right down the middle!!! game should've been tied, but then this happened

announcer -"Oh my goodness,(gasp) it hits the pitcher square in the face. Oh my god, is the pitcher dead? is he hurt? Wait he didn't fall down?! And now he's running at super speed to go pick up the ball?!?! He throws it to second, and now to first, WOW! game ending double play, started by the pitcher. Its like the ball hit him and it just bounced off?????????????? What a CRAZY ending to a great game! I sure have never seen that before. Good night folks, pirates win in exiting fashion, 5-2

So now i have a broken controller, almost a broken disk, and my brother restrained me from breaking my T.V. and PS3.

Mine isn't as dramatic as some on here, but it was a great game.

In Royals franchise- 2015 inter-league play vs Pirates

The game was an all-out pitchers duel, 0-0 after 7. Top of 8, Pirates hit a solo shot off of me and it's 1-0. Scores stays the same until the bottom of the 9th.

I quickly had 2 outs and was about to lose, or so I thought. Eric Hosmer singled to left and Mike Moustakas came up to the plate. Went down 0-2 in the count then to 3-2. I then fouled off 3-4 in a row. Next pitch, fastball right at the belt and was a bomb to right for my first walk-off.

I got up and couldn't help but chant, "MOOUUSEEEE!!".

I was on a 5 game winning streak but saw myself down 5-0 going into the 6th inning. I was able to get one run back in the 6th but was still down 5-1 going into the 7th.

I got two men on with two outs and Votto at the plate. I worked it to a 3-2 count and was able to draw a walk. Phillips came up with the bases loaded and again I found myself at 3-2 and again drew a walk making it 5-2.

Jay Bruce comes up as the go-ahead run and he, like the two before him gets to a 3-2 count. The pitcher threw a fastball right down the middle and I hit a grand slam putting me up 6-5, thus preserving the streak.

I just finished another game with two of them...

I'm playing the third game against the Cubs at home after splitting the first two. Cubs go up 3-0 early in the game but I tied it up in the bottom of the 4th.

I put Ryan Madsen in to pitch the 8th and he gives up a single to lead off the inning. After getting a strike out, he surrenders another single to put runners at first and second. Soriano steps up and hits a deep fly to right, but Jay Bruce climbs the wall and robs the home run, keeping the game knotted at three. DeJesus then grounds out to end the inning.

Fast-forward to the bottom of the 9th. The first two men get retired easily on back-to-back grounders bringing Scott Rolen to the plate in a 3-3 ballgame. I get ahead in the count 3-0 and decide to look for a fastball up in the zone. Sure enough I got one right there and drove it out for a walk-off home run.
