Re: Those get up and yell moments...

I have a Red Sox franchise, I just started September, first day the roster expanded and I'm facing the Yankees...
Im a game and a half up on them for the Wild Card and 6 games behind the Jays for first...

It was a good game, I went ahead 4-1 but then Teixeira hit a 3 run shot along with a couple of hits and they had the lead in the 6th 6-4... Within the next 2 innings I came back to tie it 6-6...
    Then extra innings started...
We got to the 11th... 2 outs... Trevor Plouffe at the plate(awesome bench guy whos been hot as of late)... He hit a looong high fly ball down the right field line... Swishers in right jumps at the fence and... Robs me of the go ahead run(Aaaahhhh!!!)
Next inning Cano comes up first, I bring in Rich Hill for the lefties... The count's 1-2, I have this out in the bag... But I throw a 2-seamer that gets too much of the plate and Cano takes it yard for the game winner(aahhhhhh!)

    Tough Loss
(but I simmed the next game and I won, so the Yankees can suck it, heheh)

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

I had started a Yankees franchise today, and I'm going up against the Red Sox with Josh Beckett on the mound and I had Nova. And Beckett is just killing me with his 98 mph fastball and then he starts getting in the groove with his Curveball, and I can't hit anything.

I normally hit well with the Yankees even though I can't get Cano and A-Rods stance down, but against Beckett I'm through 7 innings with 3 hits...my only hits were: an A-rod dribbler right down the middle, next at-bat Tex hits an RBI double and scores A-Rod, and then 3 innings later I hit a line-drive with Granderson right above Avilez and he jumps for it and knocks it down but Granderson beat it out for a single.

Luckily Nova was doing just as well as Beckett and I'm up 1-0 going into the seventh, Middlebrooks ends up hitting a lead-off double and I decide to bring in Cory Wade, the next batter hits a grounder up the middle and I think it's a base hit so I'm thinking I'm controlling Granderson, but what I didn't know was I was controlling Cano and the ball hit the pitchers mound and is slowly rolling down the middle and I'm running the wrong way with Cano because I think i'm controlling Granderson!

Middlebrooks scores and there's a man on first, I end up walking Gonzalez and up comes Pedroia, I bring in Boone Logan and on the very first pitch Pedroia hits a 3 run bomb over the green monster to take the lead and end up winning the game, I was absolutely pissed yelling "I FINALLY GET A GOOD GAME OUT OF NOVA AND I GET 3 HITS!? **** YOU BECKETT!"

Next up is Freddy Garcia vs Dice-K, so I better get atleast 5 runs

Speaking of no-hitters, I had a perfect game with Johan Santana going into the seventh, and then of course Nick Swisher hits a slow grounder right between Daniel Murphy and Ruben Tejada, next batter Texieira hits a 2 run homer

The funny thing is it was a quick game and I was only playing to test the sounds of the show that I downloaded from operationsports, so I decided to do a New York vs New York game because those were the 2 packs I downloaded haha.

Playing as the Giants going up against Greinke and the Brew Crew. Greinke was just owning me throughout the whole game and went 7 innings of shutout baseball and I only managed to get like 2-3 hits off of him. But I kept pushing him by working the count and by the 7th, the CPU took him out cause of the high pitch count and when he left, the score was Brewers - 7, Giants - 0.

Slowly I started to comeback hitting well against the bullpen and it started with Huff hitting a 3 run HR. Next inning it's Schierholtz with a solo HR followed up by 2 more runs from a couple of singles and a double. Fast forward to the bottom of the 9th and the score is now Brewers - 7, Giants - 6. In comes Axford to try and save it and he's struck out the top 2 guys in the order. In comes pinch hitter Gregor Blanco and he works the count to 3-1. Next pitch is right down the middle and Blanco takes it deep into CF for a solo HR to tie it!! I was jumping up and down pumping my fist running around my room like I just won a million bucks.

Game ends up going to extra innings and I hit a 2 run HR with Burriss in the 11th and in comes Casilla for the save, final score Brewers - 7, Giants - 9.

Even saved the replay from it.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

Had my best first inning by far today. Going for the sweep against the A's, Ellsbury walks on 4 pitches. I steal second. I have Crawford bunt him over to third, but he beat the throw for an infield single. I have Crawford steal second to stay out of the double play. Pedroia hits a weak tapper to the third base side (just missed it). He beats it out, barely. Bases loaded, nobody out. Up steps a red-hot Adrian Gonzalez.

First pitch fastball, inside, ball one. Next pitch, changeup low and away, but it stayed up. Power swing, Grand Slam to right field, Sox up 4-0.

Ended up winning 7-2 and got the sweep.

Just had 1. Had to pause it. Started a game earlier today. Well I had to in game save it due to the holiday. Just started back up. It was bottom of the 4th. I was leading 3-1 with 1 out. They were batting and had men on 1st and 2nd. Jonny Gomes was at bat. I threw him a 1st pitch fastball low and away. He decided to pull it and deposited it over the LF fence.

                UPDATE

Just ended the game. The POTG was Trout. He went 5-6 with 4 singles and a game winning double. It ended up being a 14 inning affair. I tied it in the 9th and was basically playing small ball ever since then. Used my whole bench and my whole bullpen except Frieri and Jensen. My best game yet. Was considering bringing in a starter to finish it off.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

Just had a crazy game with the Pirates. Was facing Josh Johnson and the Marlins, Burnett was pitching for us and having a good season so far. Well, thanks to some shoddy defense, Miami goes up 4-0 in the top of the 1st. The Pirates get one run in the bottom of the first, then both team score on in the 2nd. After a scoreless 3rd, the Marlins take a 6-2 lead in the 4th.

In the bottom of the 4th, the bottom of the Pirates lineup scores 4 runs to tie thanks to a double by Alvarez, a triple by Barmes, a sac fly by Burnett (who stayed in for 6 innings), and a homer by Abreu.

Then, in the top of the 9th, Grilli gives up a run and it looks like our earlier comeback was for naught. In the bottom of the 9th, Trumbo strikes out against Heath Bell but gets to first when the catcher can't catch strike 3. Nieuwenhuis sacrificed him to 2nd (when he was trying to bunt for a hit) and Pedro Alvarez came to the plate. It's a bit past the All-Star break and Pedro is scuffling, only hitting around .250 with 5 HR's. The first pitch was a fastball up in the zone and he hit it over the center field wall for a walk-off home run!

I can't yell 'cause my wife is in bed and has to work tomorrow, but I definitely pumped my fist and the villagers rejoiced.

Re: Those get up and yell moments...

I just had two of these moments minutes apart.

So after making the playoffs with my Jays, I am in the ALCS Game 7 at home. After leading 4-0, the Rangers come back to make it 4-3 in the 6th. I held that lead until the 9th where Sergio Santos comes in, and after being lights out for me the entire year, lets up a lead off double. After a groundouts pushes the runner over to 3rd, I'm able to K the next guy. Then I go up 0-2, the bat ter fouls off everything pushes it to 3-2 and hits a double, followed by another double and a single. So the score is 6-5, I'm fuming,my brother who is watching is laughing his head off. Luckily I get out of the top half of the inning down only 1.

So in the bottom of the ninth, two quick infield popups, then Lawrie goes down 0-2......BAM, a homer over the left field wall, I'm pumped and shouting Lawries name as he rounds the bases. Next up JP Arencibia, first pitch, a no doubter to left field, game over!

Safe to say that s the most excited I have ever been playing the Show, I had to put the game down for awhile after because I was way to jacked.

Just last night I'm playing Game 5 of the World Series with my Rangers against the Dodgers. Still playing a season on MLB 10 I started in December 2010

I'm up 3-1 in the series.

Get to the bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, runner on 1st, so I bring in my closer, and he promptly gives up 2 straight hits to blow the save, tied 3-3 going into extra innings. We get to the bottom of the 13th....2 out....and I get a walk off HR by my 2B to win the World Series. Oh yeah, I yelled my as# off. Then, I went and grabbed my camera to record the celebration......LAME! That shocked me. Thought The Show would come with something huge with the WS celebration, but oh well. "Victory is Mine".

I was throwing Ryan Dempster against the Brewers at Miller Park. Bottom 8, have a perfect game going. I walk Aramis Ramirez to start, there goes the perfecto, next pitch, Corey Hart roasts one past Ian Stewart to blow the no-no. Aubrey Huff(assuming they traded for him) comes up next, hits a 1 hopper to Stewart, goes to 2nd for 2 and whipped it to 1st to complete the triple play. Was so pissed to lose my great pitching game, but was thrilled to turn my first ever triple play. So, in the span of 2 minutes, i had a positive and negative get up and yell moment

I actually didn't get up and yell at this moment, I just sat there in stunned silence for a few moments.

Playing as the Braves in the NLDS against the Giants. After Tim Hudson throws 7 great innings, I still find myself down 1-0 with Lincecum still in the game. Through the eighth and into the bottom of the ninth, same score. Now, I'd had two hits against Lincecum all game, but they bring in Brian Wilson anyway (I think Lincecum had around 110 pitches). First batter, Uggla, grounds out to short. Then Heyward pops up on the infield. Andrelton Simmons works a 10-pitch walk, which brings up Chipper with the game on the line. He cranks a 1-1 low and inside fastball and I've already dropped the controller in TRUE WALKOFF FASHION...until Angel Pagan climbs the fence and brings it back.

You're gonna do that to Chipper? Really?

That was my first ever in the game to score 17 runs like that . I also play on a decent level Hall of Fame, and I play with Zone Hitting, so I was proud of myself.

The trick to my hitting is that I stare at thier legs during the whind up and for some strange reason I see the ball so much better. I stare more at the front leg and the top of the knee area. It's weird but it has been working for me. I have been able to stay off the balls for the most part, and swing right away at the juicy pitches

Ok, so much like the team I am using in my Franchise I am a hoarder of talent ( Just like A.A.) and I am more of a simmer then a game player probably a 8:1 sim to play ratio for each year. So I am in 2018 in the ALS playing with classic pitching and this happen for me. Check out the K's!
