    Did not check this.

Q: Are outfield throws updated? In MLB 12, when outfielders throw the ball home they kind of girl-arm it. They need to get more body into the throw and have a better follow-through.
This is hard for me to answer because I am usually able to get strong throws from the outfield. If you are talking about deep throws from the outfield (mostly on throws to home) and you see that huge rainbow throw, that is still present. You need to use the cutoff in those situations.

Q: Are fielder's reaction times more accurate when fielding the ball?
I feel this is better across the board except for the catcher. He springs into action too fast. A big reason for it is lack of animations from crouch to getting the ball.

Q: Do runners always hustle on every grounder? In real life there is no way Players like Pujols or A-Rod are bustin' it down the line on every hit.
Yes they still hustle down the line. I don't foresee this changing. I don't think the MLB wants to see players dogging it down the line.

Q: Has outfielder run speed been adjusted? It seems like they are running at 100% all the time. (this affects balls hit into the gap and down the lines; taking away extra base hits).
They have been slowed down. Plays I could make in 12 I found I could not make at the event. I think it is also a byproduct of how long balls stay up in the air with the adjusted physics.

You are going to find that you will be able to pull balls a lot more.

Some hits did go through the middle but nothing what we experienced in the past. In 12 I thought hits were on the heavy side up the middle.
Very good to hear. Like you, I felt that balls were hit up the middle more often than not. Seemed there were times where I thought I would've pulled the ball only to find that it went right back through the middle.

          Thanks!
I don't think in-game pitch movement itself has been adjusted, so not this year... Eventually I hope splitters/forkballs get more love... particularly mimicking more closely how they move in view of physics.

Did Sony happen to say if they will be adding more animations from crouch to getting the ball in the future to fix this issue?

They are aware of it, I am sure it will be addressed for future versions.

Does the pitcher still get drilled by line drives 2-3 times per game with no injury or reduction in performance? After hitting the pitcher, does the ball deflect across the diamond (or into the next zip code) with the batter still miraculously being throne out?

I played about 20+ games and hit the pitcher only twice. The adjustment with hitting cuts down a lot of up the middle play. There still is a disconnect with the pitcher getting hit and suffering consequences from the incident. In the two incidents that occurred I was safe on one and out on the other.

Sorry to keep bugging about this, but did you guys notice any difference with the Pulse Pitching system?
I'm hoping to hear that the speed of the pulse-interval varies depending on the pitchers ratings, confidence or stamina.

If not, I really hope they made changes to distinguish a difference between pitchers.

                      Thanks!

Pulse pitching was part of conversation that we had with Brian@SCEA when I stopped taking notes, so I'm not 100% sure about this (> 90% sure though), but the pulsing intervals really don't change based on ratings.... it is the pulsing amplitude (therefore inaccuracy) that is being affected by the ratings.

I was surprised but this, but I think the reasoning was that varying amplitude gives us (optical) illusion of the marker pulsating faster/slower based on the maximum size of the pulse, so rather than opting to change both, the game is just changing one.

The wider performance difference (due to ratings) is something that we touched upon, and he said it has been widened. As written previously, how much that affects the gameplay, we have to see. I'd like to see wider performance differences reflected in performance/user interface though....

With button accuracy throwing is introduced, is there the possibility of using the old button throwing system?

I did not like the analog throwing system because I was not able to push the right stick straight UP. LEFT of RIGHTmI was pretty good, but the UP direction is essential for pulling up double plays and it was so frustrating to make errors on routine double play I gave up trying.

I'll give the new system a try tough...

I'm getting way ahead of myself here, but I'm already having fantasies of this button meter throwing thing being mapped to the analog stick, as an option, for MLB The Show 2014. The analog sticks are pressure sensitive too, of course. Imagine flicking the stick and holding it, then releasing it in-line with the meter's sweet spot.

Anyway do we have any Analog Pitching guys on the CD team? I'm looking forward to reading impressions on that. Where's the love?
