People also need to make sure that they are following the instructions in the OP, I think the first one is to use the template or else they ignore your post, so yeah...
I don't think users are allowed to post in the feedback forum. At least that was what it felt like. There are only a few threads in there.

The threads that were labeled as 13 feedback threads and created by Russell were done in June, well after that window.

It seems like most people ignore the feedback thread since so much of this type of talk is done in the main forum.

I agree that it would be a mess of a thread, but something needs to be done to better organize everyone's feedback, suggestions, complaints into one place. As it is now we post things late and don't know if any of them are actually read by those that we think should read them.

You could limit it to one post per user and have users only edit one post, and to use the list feature like this or something.
    • I want this in da game
    • I also want this
    • and a bit of this too please

"With new fast forward scheme, yes... until you get used to it, it can be tricky to stop right when you need though... practice, practice..." (Courtesy of Nomo17K).

This is great to hear!! Can you expand on this a bit? Is there a specific sim speed we can set when fast-forwarding? And is it pitch-by-pitch or at-bat by at-bat? And have the simulated player stats for Runners-in-scoring-position been fixed? It was also .30 to .40 points off per team which lead to every team scoring 50 to 60 less total runs per season. I have let Russell know about this for three years, so hopefully it is fixed.

Thanks to everyone and thanks to SCEA's honesty and dedication!!

I think Knight has gone into detail about the feature... in his MoM or franchise feedback. So I urge you to get better info there. But the display speed can be set to slow, normal (?), and fast.

The sim is only per at-bat, last-pitch only... unfortunately.

RISP batting average.... I didn't track, sorry. If I remembered about the bug I could've tried easily. but that didn't affect the overall game balance, so it was just a bookkeeping bug though. I disagree it affected the actual scoring... all the numbers were right on with MLB ave in simmed season in the past.

This is an issue and like others said it should probably be made clear what these threads are for as I was and always was confused on if any of that stuff was read or shown to devs and for what games.

For example this thread was made last may.

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ing-needs.html where I posted this in July. When these threads went up I didn't even remember posting this as it was like 6 months ago. There are things I wish I brought up for CD like the catcher animations which I posted in that thread. Looking back at what I posted its actually cool that the hitting tendencies and new commentator got in this year even though what I posted could never have had any bearing on that.

Like nomo said maybe some form of a clearly labeled official wishlist thread should be made so that things don't get so out of hand. Nomo is probably right that things here will get forgotten quickly until its too late to remember them.

          Spoiler

That thread was useless for the past three years we have opened up the feedback threads on here and the official site around the same time for approximately one month. When they open there is a sticky on both main pages letting everyone know they are open and another notification thread two weeks before the they close.

This has been addressed in both frequency and in ruling. The runner will only be granted one base now as opposed to the two bases they were getting.

Can anyone confirm if the tipped 3rd strike caught by catcher made it into MLB13? Knight said he thought it made it in.

It is in and the ump makes the appropriate hand signal that contact was made.

It's in...the ump makes the appropriate hand signal and I'm happy.

I'd love to hear you (or any of the others) elaborate on this and more Outfield play impressions.

I've been hoping for major improvements in this area. SCEA has improved the CPU AI play in the OF each year by slowing down the fielders, adding new routes to the ball, etc.; but it has never felt very organic. To use your words, they have taken "psychic" routes to liners or fly balls way too often and it really cuts down on base-hit variety (not hit-type, but in the type of batted balls that actually fall in for a hit).

I'm not hoping for major leaguer's to miss a bunch of fly balls, but instead to take varying routes that help/hurt their ability to make good follow-up throws, allow more hits to land in play (down the lines), etc.

If you have any examples from the CD or info regarding the improvements to outfield play I'd love to hear it.

EDIT: Any info on outfielder alignment? I realize this is something that has to be shifted carefully because of the need to control extra-base hits, however; I've felt as if the OF has played way too deep in each alignment for years.

Not only is it in...as well as the appropriate hand signal too...

But the sound of the ball being tipped has also made to 13! Very nice. Figured I'd add that bit since you all left it out!

The umpire even brushed his hands together as if he was wiping away doughnut powder.

So for this year there will be a new thread/forum or something opened up that will close when this window is over? Or was this a thing last year that I missed.
