Guys although the disc is working hard it will be fine.

I had a fat PS3 that I just traded in this year for a new slim and it lasted for 4 years, with extremely heavy usage playing the show and I never had a problem with it.

I only got rid of it as I felt it was getting old and traded it in for a younger model ( this can apply to other aspects of your life too)

Gotta say I read some of the comments of the small review OS did and the game was getting nailed hard???? One guy even said that MLB 2k13 does signiture stances better???? Really???? I haven't recieved my copy of 13 yet but from the videos they improved a lot of things this year. Am I crazy or is there a ton of improvements?

It's just too early to tell or even to have this KNEE JERK reaction until a MUCH bigger sample.

I have a new system and I'm just paranoid that's all. What I'm going through I'm sure/hope the majority of Show gamers won't even see it. Other than the occassional "Stutter" I give this game a 9.9 it's just that DAMN GOOD!!!

It really is awesome. The stuttering can be debilitating though. On Saturday no matter what I tried, the game would stutter. Combine that with a nasty pitcher like Kershaw and it wasn't very fun lol.

Also the franchise is so much better, though the progression system still could be better. For example I have done multiple franchises and try and get Machado to be a stud. He always gets really good. But his hitting never really jumps. In like ear 2016 his constant is low 70's (72 I think). and power 50's. It just doesn't blow up like I would hope to see from time to time. He will continue to get good but would be nice to see him develop into a middle of the lineup threat early in his career. That is just one example though.

Bat....if you train Machado yourself(rather than the AUTO that simming does) even at his A-(maybe B+...I didn't see his potential).......you can get him higher. The auto train....tends to even out across the boards more. If you take a slight hit in his fielding/baserunning..you can get more for his hitting/power by concentrating on that more.

I think progression will be worked on even more for '14...I like the direction Aaron and Luis talk about it going.

I only train him myself. I switch between weights, Batting coach and all that jazz. I also hire good coaches. That said, I am sure I could do it better. If i focused on just contact it definitely would go up more. I wish weights would go up more.

and i have tried a few things like different difficulties, cameras,pitchers, stadiums,connected online,offline, and weather. I haven't been able to spot what is causing the stutter.

The Vita has none of the stutter issues.

Have you tried boosting his contact and power? mid 50's seems a little low for .262 and 7 HR's in 52 games...

I haven't messed with any ratings changes. I agree his power is too low.

Not sure if I wanna do a 30 team or single team franchise.. What r your thoughts on the trading logic thus far? I simmed a season and still saw a higher than expected number of trades

What exactly is the difference between a 30 team franchise and a single team franchise?

You basically control all 30 teams. But the 29 teams you dont want to play as will continue to do what they would if the CPU controlled them. Until a trade is brought up then you can choose to accept or decline it.

RTTS manual catching is in aword, useless. The button in no way affects the animation, meaning you could (and should) just hold the button the whole time you are tracking a ball. If you can just hold the button the whole time, you might as well not even have one. I was super excited about this feature and it's more disappointing than my worst fears would have guessed. How could the company that takes such pride in not implementing new features until they are properly fleshed out do this?

Doesn't seem like they updated much as far as player likeness or uniforms. Missing Braves alternate cream colored jersey and was it really so hard to map on Andrelton Simmons face on the game? Not happy about those 2 things. Can these be in an update? Also noticed they didn't include many of minor leaguers who played in the Majors last year.
