    Have to agree with this.

Also not played a load yet but there is definately something, as you say, sharper about the graphics, it was good last year but it all seems so more, somehow, crisp this year, the lighting seems to have been worked on a little as well.

Its hard to put a definitive finger on whats different but believe me when i say, when you play it, you somehow can "feel" the improvements to the gameplay and animations, graphically and in the general look.

This game for me is a slow burner over 12, what i mean is, to fully appreciate all the improvements it will take time but boy is it worth it.

This game, my learned friends, is everything pretty much i feel a Baseball game should be.

SCEA, has, somehow, managed to raise the bar again.

Lord knows how good it is going to get this time next year on the PS4

        Agree PsychoBulk!

The last couple of years, I would go straight to franchise, start playing and go from there. This yr, I am still playing around with playoff, playnow etc because the game has such a FRESH type feeling. Top notch all the way.

I think the biggest evidence of the timing window change is in the Home Run Derby. Either that, or they just made it easier. I went on multiple streaks of 10 or more and easily best my best of 30 in previous years a few times, and only having played it this year for an hour and with someone with above average power.

I did PM a mod with my proof of copy, but here it is

I was going to post the same exact thing about HRD earlier. I played today and I had over 20 homers before I even had 5 outs. Went on a streak of like 17 in a row or something. I NEVER was able to do that last year.

Looking like some funky errors are back again from last year. Just finished the top of the 1st inning of a game against the Marlins with Carlos Ruiz popping out to Donovan Solano. Solano caught the ball and then was charged with an error at the beginning of the bottom of the 1st. Gonna have to put that in the bugs thread.

Re: MLB 13 The Show Impressions Thread

I really like the new pressure touch throwing. I have the meter as 'no feedback', as it looks bulky to me. It adds a new level of realism to fielding.

I had a slower runner on 1st, and my batter was ahead of the count, time to gamble with a hit and run. The batter hit a single to the RF. A new animation kicked in where the runner slowed ever so slightly as his foot was hitting 2nd base while he looked over his shoulder to RF before he continued on to 3rd base.

On another play, Jeter hit a ball that last yr would have bounced over the wall for a double. This time, the ball hit the top of the outfield wall, the cpu fielder misplayed the angle, allowing Jeter to stretch a double to a triple.

A helicopter flew by at Nationals Park. (maybe the big guy going to the WH)

PF, did you happen to have a runner on third base that crossed the plate before Solano caught the ball?

Definitely a bug... they should be able to fix that easily.

Forgot to mention this in an earlier impression. We finally have foul tip strikeouts caught by the catcher in the game! Was pretty cool.

-I've had a pop out to the catcher with 2 outs where a runner crossed the plate and no error was counted so no idea what the trigger may be although I think mine was foul which may impact
-I'm surprised no one has really mentioned fielder control in general because I think it's gotten noticeably better as it has most years
-I haven't noticed any stuttering and I've been playing exclusively while disconnected
-crazy bounce foul balls at the plate are gone
-I've already hit the pitcher a few times, if that was a dealbreaker issue for you last year I don't think you will be satisfied by the improvement
-when a CPU infielder knocks down a groundball they are reaching for, they react quicker to the ball on the ground from last year
-have hit multiple bloops that were better than anything last year already
-already picked the CPU off with all legend settings
