Question for the rest of you who have the game....the MLB 13 trophies are not showing up in my list of trophies at all. Anyone else having this issue? I'm thinking maybe they will show up starting the 5th, but seems kind of strange that they wouldn't be there already.



I am thinking it won't start until the game becomes live on the 5th ,just like the leaderboard and the online stuff ect.

Just finished a full 9 inning game. Indians at Phillies. I won the game 2-1. The win celebration has some new presentation now. We finally have players lining up on the field for high fives before it shows everyone walking off the field! It was pretty damn sweet looking. I'll have some screenshots posted in the screenshot thread in a bit.

Hey BSUFAN .. I have the game as well since last week and it took me a few days to figure out how to find the trophies. What you do is on your main PS3 menu, highlight trophies list, press triangle, then switch to offline mode as it's on online mode by default, then MLB The Show 13 will appear. When it's online, it only shows games that are active on the server trophy list which won't go live until the 5th. IF you have any further questions or need further help just ask.

I played a little " Play Now " before going work this am ( Tiger & Giants ) and I must say they have really raised the bar this year, the graphics look sharper and more detailed than before if that is possible and the game play is really fun , I can't wait to dig further into 13. A treat is in store for those on March 5th, it is awesome

Phillies I believe it's simply in the settings themselves. Instead of starting with "Rookie", there's beginner in front of that. I guess it's not so much a "mode" as a setting

Also guys, I have been having some wonderful experiences playing on default HOF settings. Moving up from allstar on all previous versions, I was a little hesitant, but it's been a blast! There is just something different about reading pitches this year that to me makes it easier to hit and to wait for the pitch you're looking for!

Yup, it is in the settings for Beginner Mode. I never read much on the mode since I wasn't planning on using it until I saw there was a trophy for it. Just change the difficulty to Beginner and enter a game and it starts when you bat.

My fault for not reading up on it. Haha.

EDIT: Just had my first game freeze. Hit a ball to the first baseman and it froze as he was throwing it. Complete freeze too. Had to restart the PS3.

Not had a tonne of game time yet just been checking out Uni's and stadiums.

They have definately done something to the graphics as they seem a lot sharper and have improved lots of bits and pieces of the stadiums.

Have played a couple of innings and my timing is way off but I suspect that has something to do with playing the Bigs recently!

Have seen a couple of stutters but none in gameplay, only when cutting from cutscenes etc. One small graphical moan is THE SHOW is plastered everywhere inside the stadiums. I really wish they wouldn't do it as I think it looks a little tacky.

Oh yeah I'm not a RTTS guy but created a player to try it out and I love it. Totally immersing with the way you hit and catch etc. Also the crowd in RTTS seems really good. It may of been in earlier versions but thought it was cool when a member of the crowd shouted 'C'mon Chris' at my first at bat.
The way it sims to your next appearance is great too,you actually feel like you are part of the game rather than just being placed in at certain moments.
I can see myself spending a bit of time in this mode for the first time.

I love this game. This is me set for the year.

Cespedes has his own stance which is really good, though I'm sure others will nitpick it apart. Duda's body has been fixed and his stance is decent. Love the gold ball and new camera.

Played around with the editor for a bit. Stance specific things ex. Bautista leg kick only show as default and thus can't be picked with other stances. One handed vs. two handed available with all stances, just to confirm if it was still unclear.

After a pitcher has thrown a pitch, if the batter takes the pitch, the OSD that displays the pitch type, speed etc, shows the pitch type like this.... (sorry not a home to show pic)

Here is a pic of what I was talking about earlier in this thread. I did find a way fix it. Go to user options and select to have the OSD off or view by button, save, then go back and set it again to your preference and the duplication goes away.
