So after monitoring my RTTS player's Push/Pull Tendency I realised it was not changing and adapting to my playstyle, (which I assumed it would) as I'm usually slightly early on pitches. And im guessing this is the reason pulling balls that are slighly away has been resulting in so many popup to center right.

Is there a way to alter your tendencies or is it locked at balanced for RTTS players?

Does anyone have any info/tips on how/when to use R2 + RS (U,D,L,R) to influence hitting, I am sure the info was in the "In Game Strategy Guide" but couldn't find it. I know i read something about it when i 1st got the game but not sure where.

edit:Thanks Knight, that was what i am asking about but wanted a bit of info about how to use it, there was/is a good explanation about how it influences hitting floating around somewhere but can't remember where i read it.

The main thing i wanted to know was when trying to hit pitches low in the strike zone would using R2 + RS DOWN help more than R2 + RS UP and vice versa for high pitches.

From the front end...

GAME CONTROLS.......then R1 over 4 screens to the BATTING(ADVANCED) screen.

I think that's what you're looking for.

Sorry to interrupt guys, but I need your help with MLB 12 The Show.

I accidentally chose YES when the game asked me to switch to 3D mode.
Then, although my TV is 3D capable, I have a black screen just after the presentation.

What should I do ? I tried changing my HDMI settings, erase the last update...
I'm still stuck and cannot play the game.

You should be able to reset the HDMI setting on PS3... I think Display Setting? That's how people have been fixing this issue....

EDIT : It worked, but... !!!
Thanks. I had to force it to a low resolution, launch the game, then switch it back to a 1080p setting.
BUT, if 3D is enabled in PS3 XMB menu via Automatic Video Output settings, the game won't work once you said YES to that silly question in the beginning...

Stupid bug.

Oh, maybe that's a receiver issue after all. My TV can display 3D broadcast, but my A/V receiver can't... Nevertheless, a "Can you read this - 25s" screen would have been really appreciated here.

How do you add a downloaded player from the vault to a roster?

I downloaded Jeff bagwell and wanted to put him on the astros on the all time roster.

If I start RTTS as a hitter or pitcher, and I do not buy training points, how long does it usually take a person to make it to MLB?

And what exactly are training points? Does it allow me to make my player good at the beginning, or do I need to train the player?

Can someone provide me a download link to the 1.18 patch? I'd like to be able to transfer it to an external hard drive and install it that way.

Also is there a way to adjust the lefty pitching meter to face the same way as the right pitching meter (or a user created hack which reverses it).

I just tried sportscast manager for the first time. Seems like once you enter the game, you must play it all the way through, and you can't go back? Maybe I missed something, or is it like that, unable to go back to the sim? I hope there is a way to go back because the AI doesn't appear to bring in a relief pitcher for my team, or pinch hit for my pitcher.

Okay, let me start out by saying that I'm new here but I chose to do a lot of research before posting my questions. Came up with a lot of answers myself but there are several things I would like to ask for help with.

My friend Jake and I have recently made doing a 2 player franchise (with 2 different teams) our thing. However, we like to do fantasy drafts. When doing a fantasy draft I havent been able to figure out if I can see any more specific attributes other than Fld/Spd/Con/Pwr for hitters and Sta/ect. for pitchers. Now from what I understand by pressing triangle during my selections I can see more detailed info. We have done several drafts and none of them have turned out well over the course of the season but we have figured out why and are planning to make our next draft the best one yet.

To plan ahead for our next draft I was hoping to find some type of spreadsheet or printable document that gives all of the SCEA player ratings and specific attributes like potential, etc. I already have the OSFM v1 spreadsheet but was looking for the SCEA one just in case we go with the default rosters. If somebody has that or knows where to find it please share! A Mock draft or something of the sort would also be really cool or just a document giving where the player is expected to be drafted. I have read the thread on fantasy draft teams and got some great ideas but I am a person that needs paper in front of me so I can come up with what I feel like could be a great game plan.

Second I wanted to ask for some opinions on whether or not we should consider switching to the OSFM rosters. What are the advantages/disadvantages?

So far that is all I can think of. Once I found this site I stayed up all night reading threads in preparation for my summer break. T-4 hours until my summer break begins and lots of franchise will be played. Thanks guys!

Abandon SportsCast Manager. It sucks. Play a game using Fast-Forward; much better.
