Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah I've stayed pretty realistic so far and knew I couldn't be perfect. I just thought with the pieces I had to offer it wasn't necessarily out of the picture to get Lawrie especially since the Jays pitching was struggling in game so Paxton would be nice for them especially with his sharp boost in potential. I realize Gose should have a larger upside but for me there is a point where you need to realize the game's value for certain players is vastly different than real life, and with those players I just want to keep it fair if I can't keep it realistic.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I was thinking I may have slanted that a little heavily in Chicago's favor. What about throwing in Danks? Rox are in desperate need of some starting pitchers. If I add Danks, I could move Juan Nicasio to the bullpen, where his three pitch mix is a better fit anyway.MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Lawrie was nearly dealt for Pineda so this isn't THAAAAAT bad.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey so I'm in late June in my Nationals franchise, and just like in real life Dan Haren isn't cutting it as my 4th starter. We are in 1st place, but Atlanta is hanging with us, so I was looking to acquire a middle of the road stater to replace Haren. I was thinking about going after Hellickson of Tampa, and I was going to send over Goodwin, Cole, and Skole. Is this enough or would I have to include more? Also are there any other startes to consider going after?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Kenny Williams would be all over that. Getting decent prospects (high A's compared to the CWS farm system) and shedding off Danks' salary would make him do it Gangnam style. I think that would be fine, especially since Danks has pitched BADLY IRL of late. You may want to toss yourself some sort of additional C prospect too--Chatwood is highly regarded.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Other pitchers you might be interested in:
Clayton Richard (SD)
Chris Capuano (LAD)
Matt Garza (CHI) [would not accept Haren]
A starter from the Blue Jays depending on how they're doing.
Bud Norris (HOU) [would not accept Haren]
Dallas Braden (OAK) [would not accept Haren]
Jhoulys Chacin (COL)
Mike Minor (ATL) though the Braves and Nats dealing is unrealistic
Kyle Kendrick (PHI)
Ricky Nolasco (FLA) ['spects only, can't include Haren]Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Lol. Thanks. I need to pick up some salary somewhere if I want anyone to take Belisle's contract. I enjoyed using Belisle the last couple of years in The Show, but not so much this time around. I'm ready for a younger, stronger arm at the back end of the 'pen.MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Yeah Paxton shot up from a high B to a mid A, he is now above Walker and below Zunino in regards to potential I believe. He was just the oldest and as a Mariner's fan I'm attached to a lot of prospects, he was just the one I'm least attached to. I would never trade Walker or Hultzen.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So Goodwin + Haren + Cole + Skole for Hellickson? Hmmm...value-wise it's not bad, but the Rays would never trade for a guy like Haren financially or otherwise--their MO is to develop pitchers. Hellickson might be available for prospects only though depending on the current state of your league.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'd definitely love another pitching prospect. I don't know anyone on the Jays really and I can't get to my game right now. Do you know anyone that might work? If not I'll check their roster later and find one. What prospect level are we looking at here?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to move Scott Baker in my Cubs franchise but I am at a loss for what direction to move him. I mean I know his value on spreadsheet but I cant find a home for him that I feel would be a realistic move. I would love some speed from a middle of the diamond position in return, but hoping I can get some insight into a team that could use him.Comment
