I dont like the Royals one because Lamb is their top pitching prospect. Yankees have a fairly good rotation even when Kuroda and Pettitte leave. I think he's slightly overvaluing him. Red Sox actually looks good, but it's a bias. Rangers one i don't like. I knew we were gonna have differences on this one because of our argument.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
With my Mariners I'm pretty solid with my pitching depth and my infield prospects, especially after the draft. I'm looking to trade for a young, solid hitting infielder with potential. I'm looking at Brett Lawrie, and I understand it's not completely realistic to trade for him, but I figure I have some good pieces to offer. So I was thinking I could start a deal around a package of Kyle Seager (75ovr), Carlos Truinfel (Low A), and James Paxton who, keep in mind, improved from a high B to a mid to high A potential. What else could be added to the deal to make this a possibility? My untouchables are Franklin, Walker, Zunino, Hultzen, Montero, and Ackley.
At the allstar break Seager is batting .280 with 11 hr 40 rbi
Lawrie is batting .290 with 6 hr 35 rbiLast edited by WildPotato; 04-18-2013, 04:50 PM.Comment

I don't like it as much for you.

Rangers' one I don't like either.
Replace Triunfel with Miller OR Paxton with Maurer/Hultzen and I have no problems with that deal."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Sounds good, but Paxton actually has a higher ceiling then Maurer now since he progressed, so I figured it would take him to get it done. But works either way for me. And Miller is now a low A instead of high B if that makes any difference. Maybe get another small piece in return.Last edited by WildPotato; 04-18-2013, 05:08 PM.Comment

Seager + Paxton + Franklin (if he's a high B) is fine."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Franklin is an A too, higher than Miller I believe, that's why I consider him off limits. I'm actually okay with the Seager + Paxton + Miller trade, I was just wondering if I could get maybe a small prospect in return from the Jays if i give them a bit more value.Comment

Seager + Paxton + Miller?
Or Seager/Paxton/Franklin/Maurer/Romero(or Guerrero) for Lawrie + Rasmus?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Pulled off my first two midseason deals in my Astros 'chise.
Sent SP Brad Peacock and SS Brendan Ryan to LAD for SS Dee Gordon.
Sent SP John Ely and C Carlos Corporan to PIT for C Michael McKenry.
Both the Dodgers and Pirates are in last place in their divisions with little or no hope of contending this year (lol @ LA). I figured both teams could use youngish arms who can start rather than middling backup catchers or speed merchants like Gordon.
I still need to find deals for Pena/Humber/Bedard/Jason Castro/Kyle McClellan/Ronny Cedeno and probably Jordan Lyles, though I will try again and see if I can get used to pitching with him.
Some guys I still have my eye on possibly acquiring are Jemile Weeks, Brandon Belt, Lucas Duda, Jose Tabata, Kyle Blanks, Brett Gardner, David Phelps, Wily Peralta...
My biggest need is probably a lefty slugging bat since Pena will be gone and Wallace has been meh. And this bat will need to play a corner OF spot, don't want to block Jonathan Singleton at 1B. It seems Duda fits this role best and it obtainable, though not sure I want to settle for Duda.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Wallace has been meh, you say? Why not trade him for Anthony Gose? Oh wait!"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Honestly I don't really need an MLB player, or an MLB ready player I was just hoping to maybe snag a cheap prospect possibly C level. I'm also looking to get rid of Truinfel (Low A). So maybe add him to the deal and then get a prospect in return. I would prefer an OF or a Pitcher. I noticed Anthony Gose was a C level and I lack speed, but I don't know his value. Also the Jays have Michael Choice now, who I believe they traded for Lind. Despite Truinfel's potential I know he isn't that valuable, just thought I'd mention it though.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thoughts on this trade:
I'm the Rockies heading into the regular season. I've been wanting to get rid of Matt Belisle and go with some younger arms in the bullpen. I'm also not a fan of Tyler Chatwood. According to the chart, I can expect a mid C for Belisle and a mid B for Chatwood.
I love hard throwing lefties, and the White Sox have a C rated prospect in Santos Rodriquez, plus Hector Santiago (a mid C potential) in their bullpen.
Are Belisle and Chatwood good enough, or do I need to add another low end prospect to the deal?
Another note: I signed Brian Wilson to pitch at the back end of the bullpen. I'll be leaving him in AAA for the first month of my franchise to reflect his return to health. I may even push him into May before I bring him up. Either way, I've got some depth at the SU/CP position in the 'pen.

Gose in OSFM is a C because SCEA... ugh. You can have him as a throw in TBH. Triunfel would probably get you Gose + a guy like Jacob Anderson, who I have a huge man crush on, he's a 5 tool kinda right fielder who had a great 2011 and played badly last year.

I like the idea of grabbing some outfield prospects to see who I'd like to keep around for my long term plans. With Guerrero so young my outfield is completely wide open.Comment
