Looking to get some stability on the right side of my infield. Have a weird platoon on Craig, Adams, Carpenter, Descalso. Looking to move Adams and keep Craig at first.

I'm interested in getting Kipnis from the Indians but not sure what all I would have to give up. I know the price will be high, but what do you guys think?

It's probably not realistic, but the spreadsheet says High B and Mid B for Kipnis. A slight overpay would be Wacha and Wong, but it gives them a big league ready starting pitcher along with a replacement second basemen. Closer to value might be Wong and Jenkins, although Jenkins isn't as close to MLB ready as Wacha. Adams is also a B you could trade, although I don't know the Indians need at first base. Have you tried bringing Wong up and trying him at second? He should be a quality starter and I believe his overall was decent to start the first season.

          Third Basemen:
Mike Moustakas, Royals (you'll have to give up quite a bit)
Mark Trumbo, Angels (if you're comfortable with terrible defense at third)
          Chase Headley, Padres
          Ian Stewart, Cubs

          Left Fielders:
          Nolan Reimold, Orioles
          Daniel Nava, Red Sox
          Matt Joyce, Rays
          Rajai Davis, Blue Jays
          Andy Dirks, Tigers
          Josh Willingham, Twins
          Jason Kubel, Diamondbacks

Do the Phillies have the pieces to get Moustakas? Last time I checked, it didn't look like they had the pieces to get a guy like that. The spreadsheet has him at a mid b, low b, and high c.

Trumbo is just a mid b, high c. I'd send them a pitching prospect, and whoever that high c catching prospect is the phillies have. Can't remember his name, and I'm not at my game right now. It first name starts with a "T" I think.

The Phillies don't have many pitching prospects. The best offer I can see is this:

Angels Get: C Tommy Joseph and SP Jesse Biddle
                  Phillies Get: 1B Mark Trumbo

Was playing last night on my franchise and I got this offer that got me thinking for like half an hour..

Cardinals offered me CF Oscar Taveras for RF Josh Hamilton. Straight simple. Should I do it? If I give Hamilton, I'll free 23M that could surely use to get a SP and another player in the upcoming FA. But also I will lost his power, because I'm intending on sending Taveras down for more development.

I think mid B + low B is pretty fair for Cashner. I can agree with that. Nothing I have real issues with there. BR says he's 26 though? Turns 27 on 9/11.
                            Updated the spreadsheet.

"He's not that good actually." Oh, to speak in absolutes.

Feliz is a quality comp, yes, but Feliz is younger and has had a bit more success. He also hasn't been injured as much.

Just know it's gonna take more than high B to get Anderson or high B + mid B to get Samardzija...much more. Nothing below a low-mid A would nab Samardzija realistically.
I disagree, as A prospects are very, very valuable commodities, and Anderson is a #3 and Sam is a #2.

Sierra for Arrieta is a little bit of an under pay in my opinion. I would throw in a mid-lowish C.
Thanks for the input. I was worried about that, yeah, I can throw in Kenny Wilson, OF depth/utility guy with a good bat, a toolbox.

No, from your end it's a great deal, but it's not realistic or fair. The Cardinals don't have the budget for Hamilton or a position for him now, and he's about to decline while Taveras is still years away from his prime. If the Angles called and offered this to Mozeliak he would laugh and then hang up the phone.

Write down the major stats of the guy you want to trade for, and then edit them down to 0 so his value goes down and make the trade. Then restore the stats to what they used to be.
