    This is a good idea. Edit Trumbo's stats and make him terrible, then give the Angels Tommy Joseph and Jesse Biddle.

    Another idea you could do is edit your franchise so you have 30-team control, and then accept the trade from the other end.

        Come on AC, sure last year and so far this year havent been too good to Tim, but the man is a 4 time all star, multiple time strikeout leader, TWO Cy Youngs. The man is definitely an ESTABLISHED pitcher.

            Trumbo is just a mid b, high c. I'd send them a pitching prospect, and whoever that high c catching prospect is the phillies have. Can't remember his name, and I'm not at my game right now. It first name starts with a "T" I think.

            It's really hard to see the Royals moving Moose despite his current struggles. The Royals see him as a 30+ homerun threat and defensive wiz.

            I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

              I understand that. I was just answering in regards to keeping things fair. I don't feel Moustakas is a realistic target, in my opinion.

                  As bad as the Angels are playing this year, I doubt they can label very many guys as "off-limits", so trading for him seems fine to me. As for what you sent their way in exchange for him, you overpaid for him. Even with Biddle and Joseph that's a slight overpay looking at the sheet, but then you added in Young. Hopefully Trumbo plays as well as you expect him to.

                      Go to the first post of this thread, and click the link. They made a spreadsheet with values of every player on a 40 man roster. The values tell you what level of prospect you can get for that player. So a mid B value would net you a prospect with a mid B potential.

                        I think this is a fine trade. Biddle and Joseph are two pieces the Angels need, and Young is just a filler. He really doesn't have much value.

                          I just feel like he overpaid for Trumbo. I agree it's fine, and I agree it fills a need (reason I suggested Jospeh + a B-POT pitching prospect in the first place). I still don't see the point of trading Young, though.

                            I just don't think Young carries much value, so trading him doesn't have much affect on either team. Young used to have unlimited potential, but he's really fallen off the ledge. Young didn't necessarily need to be included, but it's a fine trade either way.

                              Alen Hanson and Jeanmar Gomez for Jeremy Hellickson and Juan Oviedo. Rays needed a SS pretty bad. I needed pitchers. How unfair was this for me? Im pirates.

                                On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being barely unfair at all and 10 being a total ripoff, this is about a 4.

                                Hanson is a nice 'spect (A- in OSFM?) so he'd be a good catch for TB. BUT, you are forgetting that TB has SS Hak-Ju Lee in their system who is much closer to MLB-ready, much more likely to stick at SS long-term, and is also a top 100 prospect. So, not sure the need is as pressing as you say..

                                And then on pure value:

                                Hellickson = high B + high B + low B
                                Oviedo = mid C

                                ______________________________

                                Hanson = low A
                                Gomez = low C

                                So, you could argue that Hanson's low A matches up with one of Hellickson's high B's and the low B too, to be generous.

                                However, that still leaves a high B unaccounted for, and plus Oviedo is a bit better than Gomez.

                                Short story, if you had tossed in an additional mid B/high B, it would be about even.
