What do you think? Somewhat fair? Any realistic in regards to real life?

Not that fair either since most of the 'spects headed to Miami are very raw. Realism is impossible here, but for fairness any deal involving the Padres for Stanton needs to include a major leaguer or two. Something like Everth Cabrera/Yonder Alonso/Yasmani Grandal/Kyle Blanks.
Thank you a lot for your input!

To the realism, I agree it will not happen in real life but there were at least rumours about a Stanton trade to the Padres for Gyorko + other 2 Top Prospects, so maybe not completely absurd.

My offer includes 3 major leagues with Gyorko (rated: 73), Thayer (82) and Guzman (75) who could contribute immediately for the Marlins.
Other than that Fried is the Top Pitching Prospect (A)of the Padres and with an 68 rating not so far away from the Marlins MLB roster. Hedges is another top A level prospect.
Andries and Jaff Decker are lower rated prospects that I would add to round up the deal

Really depends on what you're willing to give up--and hopefully that fits the Indians needs (1B 'spect, 2B 'spect, SP 'spect are best fits there).
Indians need starting pitching more than anything else. I feel that if you're going from a realism aspect that getting rid of Brantley at all is unrealistic given that the Indians consider him a future allstar and are, right or wrong, in a 'win now' mindset this season and for the next three.

Peralta is probably the best fit for the Indians. I am not sure on his Show stats but I think the ship has sailed on Gamel, has it not? You could just get into a time machine and not make the CC Sabathia trade.

Yeah, I'd like to dump Freese to try and minimize the level of prospects I'd need to give up. But I know Freese's value isn't very high.

For you to get Stanton from the Marlins you'd have to give them Hedges, Fried, Kelly, Spangenberg, and Joe Ross

As a Indians fan it would take Peralta and then probably like a 4th/5th outfielder to make up for the lost OF

The problem is Gyorko just started in MLB. And Guzman and Thayer have zero trade value to a team like Miami. So, you'd need an IMPACT young MLB guy. Gyorko would work, but you'd also have to include something valuable like Cory Luebke, Yonder Alonso, or Everth Cabrera. And then add in guys like Hedges, Fried, etc...

That's a pretty significant underpay. Moreso if Kelly is TJ'd like in real life. Hedges and Fried have nice value, but that's not near enough. Both are pretty far away still. Need some combo of Gyorko/Luebke/Alonso/Grandal/Cabrera in there as well.

You're in luck though, cuz Moose's value is pretty low right now too.

Would that work? Just theoretically, cos giving up my best pitcher and my starting 1st basemen with A level potential plus prospects to get 1 guy back won't get me far lol..

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

                      Man I love this thread!

So I took a break from my Cubs franchise and started up a Rangers one. We are nearing the end of June and Olt and Profar are on a tear in the minors; basically leaving me no reason to leave them there. So, I figured I'd try and move Moreland and Cruz/Murphy to open some spots up. Plan is to move Kinsler to first, put Profar at second, and have Olt man the open outfield position.

                      Some stats:

                      Moreland: .253 avg. 5 hr. 29 rbi .364 slg.
                      Cruz: .277 avg. 17 hr. 57 rbi. .551 slg.
                      Murphy: .282 avg. 9 hr. 42 rbi. .473 slg.

Curz's stats are no thanks to me, I can't hit squat with him so I'd prefer moving him over Murphy. Moreland I'd like to deal, but I wouldn't mind him being a bat off the bench. In return I'd like some pitching help. Saying my bullpen has sucked is a massive understatement!

                      Teams that might have interest:

D'Backs (lead the west by 7 games!)
                      Phillies (lead East by 7)
                      Royals (lead Central by 4)
                      Red Sox
                      Detroit?

Most of these are just based on standings. Still early obviously, but I trail the Angels by 7 games (Hamilton is out for the year, Trout has been average, but Pujols is in MVP form). I need a lot of pitching help, but I'm open to anything!

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

Wong is the ideal fit for a Royals that's pretty much set at the other positions when it comes to young players/prospects. They've kind of soured a bit on Giavotella and he's still fairly young so a change of scenery might do him some. Sure you're going up Wong but Giavotella will be an around average second baseman so it's not that bad.

If you're not trading Wong, it'd have to be Wacha or Rosenthal. I don't think you want to part with Miller and I wouldn't value Carlos Martinez or Joe Kelly as high as Wacha/Rosenthal/Wong. Matt Adams isn't a fit for the Royals since they have Butler and Hosmer

Did you come here to have the trades graded and evaluated?

Britton for Pacheco straight up would have been fine.

If you're aiming for realism, there's no way CJ Wilson is being dealt. He's a local Cali boy having signed a 5 year deal just one year ago. Overall, I guess Wilson-Rosario is somewhat fair if that's what you're asking.

So Puig has moved on from LA to Milwaukee? Either way, I'd say you trade raped Bernie Brewer and his team pretty good here. Sending CJ Wilson, whom you just acquired and is in the final year of his deal (?), for Puig and two other B prospects.

So, I figured I'd try and move Moreland and Cruz/Murphy to open some spots up. Plan is to move Kinsler to first, put Profar at second, and have Olt man the open outfield position.

                                Some stats:

                                Moreland: .253 avg. 5 hr. 29 rbi .364 slg.
                                Cruz: .277 avg. 17 hr. 57 rbi. .551 slg.
                                Murphy: .282 avg. 9 hr. 42 rbi. .473 slg.

Curz's stats are no thanks to me, I can't hit squat with him so I'd prefer moving him over Murphy. Moreland I'd like to deal, but I wouldn't mind him being a bat off the bench. In return I'd like some pitching help. Saying my bullpen has sucked is a massive understatement!

                                Teams that might have interest:

D'Backs (lead the west by 7 games!)
                                Phillies (lead East by 7)
                                Royals (lead Central by 4)
                                Red Sox
                                Detroit?

Most of these are just based on standings. Still early obviously, but I trail the Angels by 7 games (Hamilton is out for the year, Trout has been average, but Pujols is in MVP form). I need a lot of pitching help, but I'm open to anything!

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!
Send Murphy back to the Red Sox (he was a part of the Eric Gagne deal) for Daniel Bard. Murphy is a good fit at Fenway and brings versatility to their outfield and lineup.

Cruz is an ideal fit for the Phillies lefty heavy lineup with his right handed bat. I have a hard time seeing them part with Bastardo though since they're leading the NL East. How about two young arms coming back though, lefty BJ Rosenberg (or lefty Jeremy Horst) plus righty Michael Stutes. Remember Stutes was their SU in 2011 before 2012 was ruined by injuries and he's still struggling to find his way back into form. Rosenberg/Horst and Stutes would add nice pitching depth to your 40 man roster and bullpen.

I'd keep Moreland for now if you like him
Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
