    If you can't see it, its just a short article by Doug Mittler about the future and how second base will open up if they don't pick up the option on Mark Ellis.

    ee Gordon has stepped in for the injured Hanley Ramirez as shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but could his Hollywood future be at a different position?

    <OFFER>
    Ramirez, who missed the first four weeks of the season with a thumb injury, went back on the disabled list with a hamstring injury suffered Friday night against the Giants. The Dodgers responded by calling up Gordon, who was hitting .314 with 14 steals at Triple-A. Presumably, Gordon will play regularly over Justin Sellers -- he of the .194 average -- for the time being.

    Ramirez is signed through 2014, so the Dodgers may eventually move Gordon to second base — unless they feel they can sign Robinson Cano as a free agent, reported Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe on Sunday.

    Second base would open up if the Dodgers decline a $5.75 million option on Mark Ellis. Nick Punto, another starter at second base, will be a free agent after the season.
    A) It's just a rumor by someone, nothing from Mattingly or the front offfice.

    B) this would be the stupidest thing ever. Dee gordon would have been the 29th 2B in baseball last year (Fangraphs), his bat doesnt project there at all, he can barely get away with it at SS, how is he going to get away with it at 2B....

I wan't to send down Parker since he has been struggling (9.56 ERA in 3 Starts) but then I will only have a four man rotation. I was considering a trade to clear the spot. Grant Balfour has been good as the closer but I typically don't get my closer many opportunities so there is no point in paying $2.3 Million to someone who might save 25 games at most.

      Any ideas on what I could get for him/opinions on where to send him?

      Note: I feel it would be most realistic to send him to a team that has high expectations for the year but it struggling. It is a little two early to tell who is a contender so I don't think good teams would be making moves this early. The Tigers were my top choice, although Rondon is doing really well (3 saves in 3 chances 0 ERA) there setup men have been average and they are sitting at 4-8. I know its early in the season but I feel as they wouldn't be tolerating early season struggles.

      Any thoughts?
      Balfour for 2 C's or a low B. Detroit or LAA could be fits

        The Cardinals could be an option also. Our bullpen has been terrible this year, although Maness and Martinez have helped the last couple games. We've made moves at the deadline each of the last two years that have helped our bullpen a lot also. I think you'd be better to wait a bit though, I don't think teams would move for a bullpen arm that early. His value might go up slightly at the deadline.

          Not sure about LoMo & Polanco but in my 'chise I sent Nolasco to the Rockies for Jayson Aquino and the mid C 2B prospect. Can't remember his name but I'm pretty sure he's the lowest rated 2b on their roster.

                I am approaching the deadline in my San Diego Padres Dynasty that I have spent a good 6 weeks playing to get this far. I am in desperate need of acquiring a 1B because mine sucks (Yonder Alonso) and most of my outfield is on long term DL (Quentin and Venable). I desperately need someone who can provide some power because I have almost none besides Headley and sort of Grandal. I received some pretty good prospects in the draft and have some young talent on my AAA team. Any good 1B options I should look at that are reasonable and can give me a push for the playoffs?

                          Hey guys, what do you think in general about Moustakas on KC? I'm all about realism, just wanted to know what the opinions are of him. Is he a temp problem solver? A problem? Build the chise around him? Thanks in advance!

                            If you're all about realism there isn't a chance in hell you're getting him lol. 1st division starter easily.
