Yeah I understand. I'm just saying that since he just signed an extension, I would kind of assume that they'd want to hold on to him, regardless of his overall.

Meh, it wasn't a big extension. 5/30. That's 6M per year.. bit of a steal and not even expensive.

Yeah that's true. So I'm assuming you think I should go after Cahill ad not Hudson?

That's generally how I look at it too. I don't really think it's realistic to trade for a guy that recently signed an extension. But in this case, I would think they would be open to trading him due to the fact that he's their 6th best starter, coming out of the bullpen... they would probably actually be looking to trade him to get something in return.

Most teams aren't going to want to keep a long reliever signed for that kind of money. He was signed for 5 years/$30.5m... set to make around 8-10m his final 2 years of his contract.

Yeah, that's what I'd do if I were you.

In an age where one win = ~$5m, that's not a big deal.

Yeah that's a really good point! I know I'd have to give up Roman Quinn, inst don't think Galvis is someone I'd want to lose. Any idea who I could package with Quinn? I already know I'd have to lower Cahill's attributes get them to be willing to accept it too.

No not a bad deal at all for Cahill.. but it's a little much for a long reliever. The CPU probably isn't even using him much at all.

Yeah he has about 7 IP around the end of May.

Yeah, exactly, which is why he should be in the rotation, which he won't be in AZ, thus, he should be traded.

Same kind of issue may be emerging with Edwin Jackson, actually. Signed a big deal (not cheap) this offseason and his 5.76 ERA has made some Cub fans suggest a move to the bullpen... which pisses me off because he has a 3.84 xFIP, lol.

Would Norris + Alford + Lugo work for Yovanni Gallardo?

Yeah I think I'll make that trade when I get home. As far as yours, like I said I'm not home yet, and I'm not really familiar with the pieces you're offering. What are their potentials and positions? If I'm correct, I believe Norris is a pitcher?

Just got home, and I don't see anything wrong with that deal.

Wow, took a lot of editing of attributes to get it to work, but finally got Cahill on my team! Thanks to everyone who helped!

Allstar break. Giants are 1.5 games out of the wildcard and 5.5 back in the West. B. Belt is batting .223 with 9 HR and the Giants are offering my SP N. Syndergaard (73 A) whom the fleeced from the Mets in a earlier trade. for Kendry Morales (I am the M's in 1st place).

I don't think Morales is worth it, so I declined but then 2 days later they offer it to me again. Was wondering if there would be someone better to take making it more fair. K Crick is also a A but a 68 and pitching in AA or would going with C. Stratton or C. Blackburn who are both B's better.

Also on a different trade subject. AC you being a big Bluejays fan as well as several others here.

What could I get for C. Triunfel (68 A) if I dealt him to the Jays. I would like Raja Davis and was thinking one of your young MI in either D. Lugo or C. Lopes both B prospects.

and 1 last one. Nationals are in 1st place as well. Looking to add a 4th OF and long relief.

Was going to deal them E. Chavez and H. Noesi. How good of prospect would I have to give them to get either SP AJ Cole or 3B M. Skole. They will do the deal for either one, but I don't want rip them off. I was thinking maybe another C rated RP or OF.

SFG doesn't need Morales so I'd just nix this all together.

Yeah Triunfel's an A but the dude can't hit... best he's ever done is an wRC+ of around 108. I'm assuming his glove is great but I don't think he's even enough to get Rasmus alone, unless his glove was a clear 80, because this dude can NOT hit.

You'd probably have to give them a player with actual value, lol. And you're not going to give up a bench player, much less a terrible one, and get Cole or Skole back.
