Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Meh, it wasn't a big extension. 5/30. That's 6M per year.. bit of a steal and not even expensive."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Most teams aren't going to want to keep a long reliever signed for that kind of money. He was signed for 5 years/$30.5m... set to make around 8-10m his final 2 years of his contract.Denver Broncos

That's generally how I look at it too. I don't really think it's realistic to trade for a guy that recently signed an extension. But in this case, I would think they would be open to trading him due to the fact that he's their 6th best starter, coming out of the bullpen... they would probably actually be looking to trade him to get something in return.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Same kind of issue may be emerging with Edwin Jackson, actually. Signed a big deal (not cheap) this offseason and his 5.76 ERA has made some Cub fans suggest a move to the bullpen... which pisses me off because he has a 3.84 xFIP, lol.
Would Norris + Alford + Lugo work for Yovanni Gallardo?Last edited by AC; 05-18-2013, 03:50 PM."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Yeah, exactly, which is why he should be in the rotation, which he won't be in AZ, thus, he should be traded.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Allstar break. Giants are 1.5 games out of the wildcard and 5.5 back in the West. B. Belt is batting .223 with 9 HR and the Giants are offering my SP N. Syndergaard (73 A) whom the fleeced from the Mets in a earlier trade. for Kendry Morales (I am the M's in 1st place).
I don't think Morales is worth it, so I declined but then 2 days later they offer it to me again. Was wondering if there would be someone better to take making it more fair. K Crick is also a A but a 68 and pitching in AA or would going with C. Stratton or C. Blackburn who are both B's better.
Also on a different trade subject. AC you being a big Bluejays fan as well as several others here.
What could I get for C. Triunfel (68 A) if I dealt him to the Jays. I would like Raja Davis and was thinking one of your young MI in either D. Lugo or C. Lopes both B prospects.
and 1 last one. Nationals are in 1st place as well. Looking to add a 4th OF and long relief.
Was going to deal them E. Chavez and H. Noesi. How good of prospect would I have to give them to get either SP AJ Cole or 3B M. Skole. They will do the deal for either one, but I don't want rip them off. I was thinking maybe another C rated RP or OF.Comment

You'd probably have to give them a player with actual value, lol. And you're not going to give up a bench player, much less a terrible one, and get Cole or Skole back."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
