I think Nunez would be worth more than just Mahoney.. He's actually older than Nunez so it's not like the Yankees are getting younger in that trade and his position value is pretty low.

What about the Aviles prospect? I think he'd be more fair if he was a low B (or maybe just a low B SP?)

I didn't know Mahoney was that old so you're probably right but Nunez does kinda suck.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Okay it's July 14th and my M's are 62-33. Wilhelmsen is on fire with 32/36 saves and a 1.50 ERA, but the reality is I am not going to spend the money in the offseason to resign him because I want to go with C. Capps as my closer in 2014. Wilhelmsen is 29 and rated a 92 Overall with A potential.
The Yankees are currently 47-49 and 4.5 games out of the east (Rays are a 1/2 game ahead and Blue Jays are 3 games head) with the Red Sox leading at 52-45.

I would love to get B. Gardner currently in AAA after coming off the DL. He is batting .333 with 13 SB's. He is rated 78 B pot.

Is it fair and realistic trade to ask for Gardner and Joba (78 B) currently 4-3 with a 5.59 ERA. I don't have 30 team control or forced trades on and right now Wihelmsen can get me a lot of players I would never even consider, so yes the Yankees are willing to do this deal, but we all know CPU trade logic is broken as they value RP and CP quite high.

Also something else I would like you to consider is could I get OF T. Austin (58 B) buried in Single A, if I was to include former Yankee prospect OF A. Almonte who is batting .315 with 18 SB's in AA Jackson. He is rated 68 but only has D potential. Or I could former Yankee SP H. Noesi who is 1-1 with a 2.88 ERA in long relief for me.

Also Rivera currently only has 19 saves and a 6.33 ERA if that factors into your decision that the Yankees would want to get a closer for this season as well.

Other trade spots for Wilhelmsen could be
Arizona (1st place) but Putz only has 23 saves and a 3.31 ERA and is a FA next year
Reds (1.5 games out) Chapman 25 saves but a 6.83 ERA, could move to the rotation
Redsox (1st place) Hanrahan 28 saves 3.94 ERA (but high $ and FA next year)
KC (2nd place 3.5 behind the Tigers, and 2.5 games out of the wildcard ) Holland 27 saves but a 6.39 ERA still somewhat unproven.

So if you have ideas for players from those teams I am all ears. I would be looking for something similar to the Yankees deal. A #4 OF who could be a possible starter in CF or RF next season and a bullpen arm to replace Capps who would move to the closer spot. Also would like to add some prospect depth in the OF as well.

I don't know too much about the Mariners, but maybe if you added another low B or high C prospect? Personally I think the NYY deal is fine as you have it though.

For the Braves, I want to get rid of Uggla and get a younger, 1 or 2 type hitter with a high OBP and maybe some speed. Someone who isn't going to strike out 100+ times, which they have enough of!

Anyone out there? Realize Uggla shouldn't have a ton of value in and of himself, so it may be a two step process. Any number of the Rangers middle of the field options would be a dream, but unlikely. Maybe someone like a Kolton Wong, for reference ...?

                What do you think?

Or do I already have a Martin Prado-eque low hype prospect waiting in the wings?

He's not younger but in my 'chise I traded Uggla to the O's for Brian Roberts. He's been very good as a lead off hitter for me and actually playing Gold Glove caliber defense for me. He will probably retire at the end of the season so I'm using him as a stop-gap until LaStella is ready next year.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

A few weeks away from the trade deadline in my Cubs franchise, and I'm looking to move Carlos Villanueva. He's been pitching pretty good for me, 6-6, with 10 quality starts. His ERA is at 2.76, 1.21 WHIP, 91 strikeouts (8.65 K/9).

I'd like to send him to a contender, and the only teams that are really out of it are the Rays, White Sox, Mariners, Astros, Mets, Marlins, Padres and Rockies.

The places that I thought made the most sense were:

Nationals - he'd fit great as their 5th starter
Angels - pitching better than Blanton and Vargas
Indians - Still in contention, starters aren't pitching that well
Giants - Villanueva is rated better than, and pitching much better than Zito/Vogelsong
Twins - leading the AL Central by 4 games, and he'd easily fit in as their #2 starter (this is a longshot in terms of realism, I realize that)

The spreadsheet says he's worth two High C's, but since he's pitched well all year and it's getting pretty close to the deadline, I think I could at least get a B for him. Is that reasonable? What do you guys think?

If you're just going for fairness then for Lee I say maybe Olt, Alfaro, and Grimm. Then for Sale you'd have to give up A LOT. Probably Two of these three: Profar, Olt, and Leonys Martin. While also including Martin Perez and Justin Grimm/Luke Jackson. I think Lee is a much more accessible target for you, mainly because you'd have to give up a ton for Sale.

Daniel Hudson is on the trade block in my franchise. Would he be a target that is realistic? And what would I have to give up for him if he is realistic? The spreadsheet says a High B so I was thinking maybe Roman Quinn and Adam Morgan?
