Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Would the Cardinals really want to do that? Trade their future 2B for Price, when they already have one of the best pitching rotations in the league? I just don't really see the need their to trade away some of their top prospects.Denver Broncos

With Carpenter playing well at 2B, getting a lefty ace would be huge. Having Price and Wainwright as a 1-2 punch would be MLB elite like Kershaw-Greinke. You're right that Wong is an interesting piece for their future but Price would be someone that would push them over the top now (and next year)Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I agree why trade For Price when you have depth but remember Miller, Rosenthal, Wacha etc have never pitched 200 ip at a high level, Price has. You know Price can do it. Miller etc have the tools but young players and consistency aren't known to be best friendsComment

As Nationals looking for a realistic/fair trade for a lefty Set-up reliever, thinking Matt Thornton. Any suggestions for what to give up/other relievers to target?
Note: Looking particularly for a 7th inning guy to platoon with Storen.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thats a solid list. I am looking for someone that isn't in my division and has a solid heater.
I like Doolittle and Thornton, but Blevins, Duensing, Perkins, and Bastardo don't interest me for a variety of reasons. I don't actually know to much Russell or Cecil.
Spreadsheet says a low b for Doolittle and a mid and low c for Thornton. Any suggestions on compensation for each trade?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Finally got a chance to start a franchise and 8 games in I lose Omar Infante for 3 months. I AM Detroit but I acquired Jose Tabata in preseason and afraid I am going to have to move him already in order to keep the rest of my players in tact. Looking at Jimmy Paredes who can play a little 2b and also gives me a OF option as well. Input on a deal please....I know values in spreadsheet show Tabata higher than Paredes, yet not sure that's a realistic move? I just can't imagine going three months with Peralta (who I don't care for) and Santiago in the middle of my IF.....any other players to acquire I woyld be willing to listen to as well but like the versatility of Paredes which I should have considered before acquiring Tabata.Comment
