So I'm guessing this thread is only to ask if a player would be traded? Not if the trade itself is fair? That's what it seems like and it seems as if people get pretty upset when you want to trade for a big name...

We get mad if you trade for the most unrealistic players in baseball.

You can make a trade, we judge. If you don't like our opinions, then do it yourself. Your franchise, your choice...

But why should you get upset that someone else wants to acquire a player? Instead, why not just tell them if the trade itself is fair? Assume the team wants to get rid of that star for whatever reason and let the user know how they can get them.

Big names are one thing, there are plenty of big named guys who can be acquired realistically (look at the trade deadline every year)...guys like Votto who are the face of their franchise and locked up for 12 years are another. This thread is for both the specifics of the players involved (for fairness) and the realism involved with being able to acquire the guy in question.

If people want to acquire an all star team for a bunch nobodies, that's fine. Do it on your own time. Just don't come into a thread about realism and fairness and expect to be received kindly.

I was not a big fan of some of the acquisitions that the Red Sox made this offseason mainly Victorino and Stephen Drew, was wondering what I could get for them, Salty, and possibly John Lackey

I'm not doing that trade. Statdude is. I'm just putting my .02 in. I would never take on that much money. He wanted to do a firesale so we helped him and voiced our opinion. I mean, you do have a valid point, but Pujols is still Pujols. Is he good? Yes. Do I like the contract? No. Would I trade for him? No. Anyways, we are done with that part of the thread...

I would think you have to swallow Pujols, if you want to rebuild the Angels my three trade chips would be Trumbo, Weaver and Kendrick . Trumbo gets you a frontline young starter because of his power and control , not a FA until 2017. Rays would love Trumbo at 1b. Your talking your choice of anybody except Moore or Price

Don't forget that Peter Bourjos still holds somewhat nice trade value. Trading him to a team like the Mets would allow Trout to play CF on a daily basis

Baby wipes are useful. I was thinking more along the lines of a 6 year old, moldy sandwich for Lackey.
