I completely see what all you guys are saying. I'm just trying to do something here that nobody has or ever will do, trade away Pujols. Yes he is old and his contract is ridiculous, but I'm just trying to have fun with my game in a way that I want it. I'm all ok with fairness in trades and to some degree realism. But doing a fire sale is not realistic, so that throws that out the way. I'm just trying to find a fit where he would go and it just so happened that the Pirates are the only fit. If you don't believe the deal is fair, I'm all for hearing new proposed trades. Ya, I'll be disappointed that Pujols wasn't worth exactly what I thought he was, buts its a fire sale and its all about getting those prospects back in return. If I don't get Cole or Taillon, so be it. But I'd love to hear what you guys would think is a fair trade

Pujols is 33 and regressing, the kind of packages you want would be used to get Stanton, Tulo, Cargo or Pedroia

And no way does PIT take on that contract. Maybe to LAD for Loney, oh, wait...

Well, if he wants to blow up his team I get it. It is all abut having fun but if he wants to try and keep it realistic I'd disagree. It is just me, though. I've restarted franchises when a deal that looks good to me at first starts to not look so good later. I'm just a stickler!

I'd say Rasmus, Romero, and a low B should do it. Now that I told you, what do I have to give to get him, or Cole (please give both)

Your entire draft class. PIT needs young controllable players in that market and Huntington is known to be a tool so much that other GMs don't answer the phone when he calls knowing that he's going to offer Alex Pressley for Jacoby Ellsbury.

Not going to happen. They have a crowded outfield already. And his salary is way to high for Oakland.

Plus, i dont think they would want him back

I've given up on the Derek Holland trade involving JP Arencibia because the Rangers won't accept. I'm looking at Matt Moore of the Tampa Bay Rays right now. He's 4-3 with a 3.42 ERA. What would it take for me to get him from the Rays???

Joey Votto and Everth Cabrera (Don't ask me why the Reds have Cabrera, they just do...) for Jose Bautista, Dee Gordon, Adam LaRoche and David Adams???

Adam LaRoche and Votto should never be included in the same trade....ever

Doesn't matter imo. If you care at all about realism, Votto is going NOWHERE. Let me repeat that to get it into people's heads. NOWHERE. Votto is signed to a super long term extension with Cinci (as I recall it, it was like 12 years 251M? longest guaranteed contract in MLB history?), he's gonna be the cornerstone of that franchise for years to come. Just because he's struggling you think Cinci would quit on a guy that they paid all that money too? A guy who is a legit superstar and is (in my and others opinions) the best 1st baseman in baseball? Come on man...

What is it about release week and unrealistic deals?
