Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yes, you make valid points. But Bogaerts would most likely be a fall call-up. So a month and maybe a half of Rollins, then that's it. He also has a contract that lasts until 2014. So a year of him either on the bench, or in Pawtucket.
But this is all from a realism standpoint. If the OP isn't strong on realism, it's not bad.Comment

Still contemplating if I should just have a complete overhaul of the team... Lee and Rollins could be guys to go I suppose.Comment

Unless you want to compete in a stacked (kinda) NLE, I wouldn't do it. Go for a nice package to replenish your farm."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Yeah, I'm already 10 games back and lost Ruiz and young for a few months. I'd just have no pitching depth hahaComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm in the 1st season of my Cubs franchise and I'm looking to unload some players as they're last in their division and it's already July.
The players that I have on the block are the following: Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Marmol, Nate Schierholtz, David DeJesus and possibly Matt Garza.
I just proposed a trade to the Rangers and it seems like I'm totally ripping off the Rangers (i swear the game logic "accepts" this trade):
Carlos Marmol for Luke Jackson, Cody Buckel and Martin Perez. The three are amongst the Rangers' top pitching prospect. Do you think I'm just being a jackass and am ripping them off, or is it a trade that I should go ahead and make?
ALSO, for the love of my life, I CANNOT trade Soriano, DeJesus or Schierholtz. I tried to click on every possible players on several teams and nobody would budge.
Any suggestions about these players?
Thanks in advance!Comment

CPU trade logic is broke, thus why it's best to turn off CPU trading, turn on forced trades, use 30 team control and make the moves via coming here and asking for help.
So yes, you are ripping them off, there is no team that would give up 3 of their top prospects for Marmol. You could/should be able to maybe land 1, last year they had a deal to send him to the Angeles for D. Haren.
As far as Soriano and the rest your best bet is the Mets. They need MLB OF's and all 3 are rated higher then their LF,CF, and RF. Don't expect to get much, probably a couple C prospects, but that is the only team I know off without forced trades on.
If you can force deals, then Soriano is a good fit to go back to the Yankees or maybe the Giants. I would even be willing to take him in a Mariner uni if we were in the playoff hunt. DeJesus or Schierholtz to playoff contenders that maybe have a starting OF on the DL. I believe in my Franchise when playing with the Cubs, I sent Dejesus to the Nat's as their #4 OF an Schierholtz to the Mets or Redsox's.Comment

So, here's the "chart" of what kind of players they might be able to bring in:
Alfonso Soriano to a Playoff Contender for 1 B and 1 C, or 3 C's or what?
Carlos Marmol to a Playoff Contender in need of bullpen, 1 B or 2 C's?
DeJesus/Schierholtz to a Playoff Contender in need of 4th OF for _____________?
