I think the Nats deal is more beneficial as you get to young arms back. Berry is nothing more than speed and never will be while Crosby might fade put as a lefty specialist.

To get Trumbo, you'd have to pony a nice prospect along with Happ to begin with. Happ himself doesn't carry that kind of "heavy" value you need to send back in a Trumbo deal so a prospects need to be the main piece and Happ a filler

Depends on your views of Perry.

No chance of getting Trumbo, who I assume is the starting DH for LAA, for a deal with Happ as the centerpiece. (what is it with Trumbo to the Jays deals lately anyway? lol)

I also think Texas isn't giving up a solid young RP in Ross for a P they'll have access to as a UFA soon.

The Nationals deal is also a stretch IMO, Ryan Perry has decent value.

The Tigers deal is ok in terms of what you're getting back, but I just don't see them adding another SP unless someone's out for the year. They already have the problem of having too many SPs.

In general, you're not getting a key cog for J.A. Happ unless we go back to 2010 first.

Teams you might consider (depending on if they're contending or not):

PIT for Chase d'Arnaud/Jordy Mercer + Justin Wilson/Chris Leroux

SDG for Alexi Amarista/Jesus Guzman + mid C prospect

LAA for Taylor Lindsey (this is my favorite for you)

CLE for Lou Marson + Cord Phelps

KC for Chris Getz + low C prospect

How about a couple of edited versions of Scenerio 2 and 3: (see original post for stats)

          Scenario 2: Los Angeles
Mark Trumbo for J.A. Happ, Steve Delabar (basically same stats as Lincoln), Kyle Drabek, Ryan Goins and/or Moises Sierra

          Scenario 3: Texas
Robbie Ross and Josh Lindblom for J.A. Happ, Luis Perez and/or Dustin McGowan and AJ Jimenez

What'd ya guys think? (Yes I know I'm bad at judging trades...)

Probably too much for happ, these two.

But I like the idea of Alex Yarbrough+ for Happ

Yeah, I would just stop asking for Robbie Ross and Mark Trumbo if I were you.

Hmmm.... I like that deal with Pittsburgh.... I don't really know the Pirates system so who is better d'Arnaud or Mercer and Wilson or Leroux?

Mercer + LeRoux is a good deal for both sides.

Yeah I was just thinking that. How close is Mercer to the MLB and LeRoux pitched for Team Canada at the WBC right?

Ok. I'm going to try to work a deal around Lindblom (it's gonna be bad). Lindblom and Baker for Happ.

Wait... Did I just make a decent trade proposal?!?!?! Anyways, which deal is the better one:

Josh Lindblom and Jeff Baker for J.A. Happ

                                Or

Jordy Mercer and Chris LeRoux for J.A. Happ

I'm slightly leaning toward the Texas deal but I don't have an available spot in my bullpen so I may convert Lindblom to a starter and leave him in Triple-A.
