Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok. I looked at there SP's and they are way overloaded on them. Think they would trade one since that have too many of them? I was looking at Delgado but I just want a young decent pitcher and they have plenty of those.Comment

Edit: They could use a 3B prospect though so Rio Ruiz maybe? Or Matt Dominguez if you feel like they could use him at 3B right away with Prado moving to LF or 2B (if Hill is out with injury?)Last edited by Totte; 07-09-2013, 10:27 AM.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I could only see them parting with someone like Skaggs, Delgado, Miley, Corbin, Holmberg, Brewer or Bradley if you part with Norris or JD Martinez for them (or Jonathan Singleton, Carlos Correa, Jarred Cosart or Russ Springer of course)

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The Diamondbacks have a lot of pitching depth, no doubt. But I think they'd move the pitchers for a bat rather than another arm like Norris (The arm would have to be a top of the rotation starter they can pair with Ian Kennedy).
I don't realistically see Skaggs, Bradley, Corbin or Delgado going to Houston. They really don't have any prospects that would wow them enough to give up Skaggs or Bradley. Corbin is having his breakout year and Delgado was just recently acquired (Although if you don't regard player performance IRL, I can see Corbin in an Astros uni, Just ask WTNY)
In terms of needs, I would say Middle Infield and Corner OF are where they can use some extra prospects. There's nothing at 2B behind Aaron Hill. Kubel and Ross are really nothing special (Kubel has a good bat, but his fielding is um... well...) I don't think 3B is a particularly pressing need with Prado's extension and Matt Davidson looking like he can man the 3B position in the future.
So for Parra, I like Santana and Harrell because the Dbacks love their Sinkerballers...
Now that I think of it... Parra and Corbin for Delino DeShields Jr, Santana and maybe Harrell? I don't know how highly the Astros value Deshields. Maybe you can replace Santana with a lower prospect but I think DeShields would have to be in a deal for Parra and Corbin.

Forgot about Davidson at 3B behind Prado and they've got both Chris Owings and Nick Ahmad (acquired in the Upton deal) behind Gregorius. All empty behind Hill on the 2B depth chart so DeShields is a fit right there. There's really no room for DeShields in Houston long term with Altuve at 2B and Correa at SS. An option would be to pull a Billy Hamilton on him and move him to CF but you've got George Springer there.
Like you said, Corbin is breaking out and is an All Star this year. Actually think Miley would be moved ahead of Corbin (and Skaggs) if we're talking young arms. Question in my mind though is how long can the Snakes keep Cahill around? They've got Kennedy and Hudson is coming back from surgery. Then there's Miley, Skaggs, Corbin plus all the other young arms...and McCarthy...and Cahill. Someone's gotta go which actually made me think now that why in the world would they want Harrell as well?
Either way...could we do something like Cahill and Parra for Santana, DeShields and Paredes? Paredes could be an option as 2B depth behind Hill and do some OF work while DeShields is grooming in the minorsFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I would rather not give up DeShields at leat not yet. I like the idea od Santana+ Harrell for Prado. For Corbin I wouldn't mind giving up Nolan Fontana and Justin Maxwell. If I don't need to put Maxwell in the trade just tell me, but I don't need him if I am getting prado so I just want to get rid of him.
Nolan Fontana? I'm not familiar with the name. Maxwell won't get you Corbin. Going off of the OSFM rosters I use in my franchise (Corbin is an 81 ovr, B pot.), I would say it'd take another mid B to pry him away from Arizona. Maybe Lance McCullers and Wesley Wright? Dbacks could use another lefty arm in the pen.Comment

Fully agree here. Parra for Santana and Harrell works out nicely.

As for the SP situation, Cahill is still under a team-friendly contract for 3 more years and was actually performing very well (better than Jarrod Parker) until he started struggling in June. I honestly think Hudson would be the first to go. Big risk coming off of surgery and I think they'll get rid of him because he's arbitration eligible once he gets back. Would Miley go? I'm not sure. Fans here seem to like him and he would've won ROY if it weren't for the fact that Harper is a future superstar.
I think the order the Dbacks would get rid of the pitchers would be Hudson, McCarthy than Cahill and Miley later on.
Who knows how Skaggs, Delgado, Bradley will fare pitching in the majors full time so it's always nice to have pitching depth. I bet many teams wish they had the problem with young pitching like the Snakes do :wink:Comment

Well, poo. Can't throw in DeShields if OP doesn't want to give him up. Although I was thinking about the filled spots at 2B and SS.

I still would mind getting rid of Maxwell so what team would he be a good fit at?Comment
