1B Anthony Rizzo .275/.365/.468 15hr 49rbi (cannot hit with him personally, do need another young 1B to replace him somewhere along the line though)

My needs are mainly SP and to a lesser extent RP, also C and 1B and maybe 2B... Teams in contention are TOR, TB, BOS, DET, MIN, CHW, TEX, LAA, OAK, ATL, WAS, ARZ, COL, SD, SF, LAD... Apologies for the long post and thanks to those who read this far, any and all suggestions welcome as I am not great at making fair trades...
Thanks for the replies guys, like I said I am terrible (almost to the point of laughable) at making fair trades at times... I'll try again and see how I go...

Garza to COL for Aquino+Swanner was suggested by Geno

Samardzija to MIN for SP Jose Berrios 18yo High B + Oswaldo Arcia 21yo Low B - could I even throw Schierholtz in on this deal and get another small piece back maybe or just add him as a throw in for their title run to replace Arcia who has played a bit in the majors??? MIN are only 3 back of DET and are in the hunt for the wildcard aswell...

Baker to WAS for RP Henry Rodriguez 26yo Low B... WAS traded Haren for some reason (I won't tell you the deal as its extremely cringe-worthy) and could use another arm, Rodriguez is a good young potential Closer...

CF DeJesus to TEX for SP Neil Ramirez 23yo Mid C

LF Alfonso Soriano to SD for SP Keyvius Sampson 22yo Low B + SS Jeudy Valdez 23yo High C...

2B Darwin Barney to BAL for 1B Nick Delmonico 20yo Mid B

I know I'm rebuilding but I still want to move Rizzo as I couldn't hit a full sack of balls with a full sack of bags with him... I was thinking maybe to the Mets for Ike Davis (who I really like) + SP Domingo Tapia 21yo High B + RP Jeurys Familia 23yo Low B...

Again looking for fair, not interested in realistic so much, and thanks again for your patience...

Alright so I'm just going to do (as the Mets)

      C Francisco Pena (high C)
      LF Wuilmer Bacerra (mid/low B)

      for

      OF Mike Morse

Fair/realistic? (Although I understand nothing is realistic about the Mets being .500 in July haha)

I'm also interested in adding a left-handed reliever. Thought about Furbush but I guess the Mariners probably would rather keep him. Any good options that are have some nasty pitches that are easy to use?

fyi basically the same teams that are out of it in real life are out of it in my game

Samardiza deal looks good. I don't think a bench player like Baker could command a B, even if its a partially flamed out reliever. Dejesus deal is fair but I'd just hang on to him, a mid C isn't going to amount to much. Soriano deal is ok if he's hitting. Idk what Barney's value on the spreadsheet is but I think a mid B is too much, probably more like a high C for him. You might be ripping the Mets off a little in the Rizzo trade. I'd go with Davis, a mid/low B, and Familia instead.

Thanks for the reply... It's actually SP Scott Baker who has pitched quite well and would be a no.3 now on WAS rotation and his value on the spreadsheet is a low B... DeJesus is just going to make room for Jackson who is tearing up AAA... Soriano is hitting well and SD doesn't have a decent RF for their playoff push... Barney is valued at a Mid B on the spreadsheet and BAL are still an outside chance to make a playoff run... Rizzo is worth Low A (Davis) + High B (Tapia) + Low B (Familia) and a High C on the spreadsheet... Dunno if any of this helps at all...

If you aren't looking for realism, you could probably just go by the spreadsheet for all of the deals.

I would probably say no on the Baltimore trade. If they aren't a legit contender, they probably wouldn't trade for Barney when they have Schoop in their plans.

You could definitely get more for Rizzo. Find someone to fill in that High C spot and you're good to go.

I would say all the other trades aren't bad. I feel like there would be a better spot for Soriano, but I guess it works if they are making a playoff push. I think their only RFs at the moment is Will Venable and Chris Denorfia.

Twins trade: I like the idea of getting Samarzidjia but... I doubt the Twins would make that trade. I think they're going full rebuild for the future and would not give up two cost controlled guys for an arbitration eligible pitcher for a fluke run...

Nats trade: Realistically, you're getting ripped. In the game... Depends on how Rodriguez is doing. I've seen some seasons where he's dominant and some where he is minor league fodder at best.

DeJesus trade is fine. Could be a nice little fit in CF with Gentry.

Padres trade: No, sort of for the same reason as the Twins. The playoffs for them is probably not the most important thing and I'd doubt they'd take Soriano's contract. Plus, Petco would drop his numbers some.

Barney to Orioles is a nice fit IMO. They have no one there really and him and Hardy would make a nice double play combo. With Crush Davis and Machado breaking out, there isn't room at Delmonico's playable positions.

In real life, the Mets make that trade instantly given that Ike Davis is the New York baseball version of J.R Smith (in terms of consistency). In game, Ike is much better but I still think Rizzo is a straight beast. I think it's a fair enough trade.

(I bet the reason you can't hit with him is that damn bat moving. It doesn't get much less distracting pitching against him :wink

The Baltimore situation is difficult, any other division and I'd out them as a certain contender but the AL East is just full of beasts unfortunatly...

Any ideas in where to send Samardzija and Soriano then??? No real major injuries that I can see that these guys could fill on contenders... Actually TB has Shelly Duncan play LF as Joyce is on the 60 day DL, maybe Soriano for SP Blake Snell 20yo Low B + RP Nick Sawyer 21yo High C??? I'm looking for mainly SP and RP in return but will consider all Pos players...

And yes it's definitely something to do with his stance, I tried using it on a RTTS guy and had the same difficulties...

EDIT: Henry Rodriguez is 3-7 3.07era 56k 30bb 55.2 IP 3.305 DIPS .248 BIPA, maybe I could get another small piece along with him???

Don't pay for what you can get for free. Henry Rodriguez is already a Cub in real life as they claimed him from WAS. Just pick him up that way--make the Nats release him and scoop him up.

I can't comment on the M's and if they would do that or not. I just read that they were stuck between a rock and a hard place with Morse & Morales due to the affect on their prospects throughout the organization if they traded them--but I don't know their organization outside of the top prospects to truly get it, if that makes sense.

However, for relievers, try Oliver Perez or Matt Thornton.

I think you could even get a little bit more than Lombo + Rodriguez. Maybe a high C too.

I am running with a RedSox franchise and I was wondering about trading for Matt Garza, who would I have to give up assuming the Cubs are out of contention by July. I am so far 8-4, I would be doing the trade in July though. Thanks in advance!

What I have to give up Webster, or, Barnes, or Bogarats, or Jackie Bradley?

I think Raunado and Cecchini for Garza would work.
