In this game, I'm finding that potentials change quite a bit based on hot/cold streaks. In my franchise, Rymer Liriano is a top 50 prospect. I've seen some mentions where Trout & Harper are out of MLB by 28 and others where they are still squaring up tons at 30 something, even with the same rosters.
That said, I think a taxi-squad type of RP could be tossed in. Not someone great.

Adam Rosales was a great suggestion. I'll also say John McDonald.

John McDonald is an excellent option, but he really can't hit.

I have an interesting one for you guys. The Cardinals are 28-34 in mid June and and the Reds and Pirates are running away in the division. They're second last in the entire league in runs scored and 20th in earned runs. Which of these players do you think they would trade realistically?

      Adam Wainwright; 4.48 ERA, 78.1 IP, 20 BB, 78 SO, 6 HR.

Shelby Miller; 2.74 ERA, 79 SO, 19 BB, 6 HR.

      Jamie Garcia; 4.06 ERA, 71 IP, 69 SO, 22 BB, 7 HR.

      Lance Lynn; 77.2 IP, 2.67 ERA, 73 SO, 24 BB, 4 HR.

Trevor Rosenthal; 3.82 ERA, 37.2 IP, 34 SO, 15 BB, 2 HR (reliever).

I gave all the FIP numbers, as I find DIPS can be pretty off sometimes.

Think they would trade any of them, or is it the 2:30 AM tiredness speaking? I can run WAR calculations, if need be

Garcia defiantly, Lynn probably, Wainwright maybe depending on age.

I'm more so speaking to that he's been the worst player in baseball this year. I guess a lot of that comes from defense though.

Yes, it is the bold part. Too early for them to deal, and they're way too close to .500 to quit on the Wild Card. Plus they're the Cardinals; they probably have a run in them at some point.

Yeah, I was going for career averages. He's been pretty bad for Toronto. His -2.2 fWAR this year makes Starlin Castro's -0.7 fWAR look pretty not-as-terrible by comparison.

Then you think they'd be interested in buying? I have pieces that could be a fit.

Is it realistic for me (the Jays) to trade for Jeremy Hellickson of the Rays if he isn't doing well and just got put on the trade block? The Rays are way out of it and sit in second last in the AL East.

I don't think they would sell low on him.

If I go with his regular value while he is performing poorly, would that be ok?

What do you guys think about this deal:

Jeremy Hellickson (2-5, 4.70 ERA) for Aaron Loup (4.09 ERA), Kyle Drabek (2-1, 3.61 ERA - AAA) and Darren Oliver (1-2, 1.36 ERA)?

The Rays are in last place in the American League East and they are definitely going to rebuild. I am currently trying to hold a one game lead over the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East.

How do you go from regular value to two relievers and a bust?
