Hellickson for Cabrera may work.

I don't have a dog in the Lawrie vs. Headley fight, but I wish they'd both be more consistent. In a way they are both very similar with having flashed fringe MVP talent, but have been so so except for those brief flashes.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Average at 23 is not that amazing. Look at what guys like Bonds, Griffey, Harper, Trout, and many more have done at younger ages. Amarista has at least played everyday for a full season and Gose can't hit his way out of a paper bag. But I was saying that I don't know whether to make them equal or one above the other. Ideally, they are both role players.Comment

So Brett Lawrie isn't a HOF worthy player. That decreases his value? The fact that you can even almost mention him there is something. I think you need some perspective here.
Playing time is not indicative of value, Gose provides other value, yada yada, but I agree with the role players thing."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

W-L record really isn't indicative lol. 2.99 ERA though? He's worth more than Asdrubal at this point. If he's being a DIPS beater then you should sell high. Maybe you could look into Howie Kendrick if you need 2B help, or Erick Aybar. Maybe Starlin Castro, even."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Who would be some suitors for Jeff Baker? I have a couple of young outfielders and I just don't see Baker as being a part of my teams plans any more. I was thinking Pittsburgh...Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The game has his DIPS ERA at 2.96, so it looks like he's been where he 'should be'. I have his FIP at 3.16, so that's right there as well.
But - dang, you had to mention Castro...Now I'm going to be mad because they don't want Hellickson. They want Moore...Ugh, I want Castro.
I looked at Aybar, and they'd do it for Hellickson and Kelly Johnson (why they want him when they have Kendrick...I don't know) but I don't even want Aybar anymore. *sigh*"Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

I forgot, you're one of the six cubs fans who don't realize Castro may get traded
Impressive.. interested in Brad Miller or Nick Franklin?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Franklin's out for at least the year with a torn ACL.
What I might do is use the trick I saw earlier in the thread - lower down the ratings of who I'd want and is fair to get and then make the trade."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'd go for Miller, cause if you want Castro, you're obviously gonna have to add in a bit more. And that's if he's having an off year. If he's having a good year, forget about it haha."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
He's not having a bad year. Not sure if it's 'good', per se, but .352 OBP (nice), .132 ISO (he's not a power hitter, so...), 6.1 Batting Runs (not too bad I guess, hard to tell in late May).
Oh well, I could do worse than having Hellickson in the rotation."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
.350 OBP for Starlin Castro = yeah, you're maybe probably definitely not getting him.
There's Chris Owings on the Diamondbacks, Raul Alcalantra on the Cubs, and Trevor Story on the Rockies. Now that I think about it, Story for Hellickson is absolutely perfect for you."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
