Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Im looking to change it up, Jays have become easy so I want a challenge where every position on the team is up for grabs coming into the season, so I will be making a nice few trades (pretending its offseason and im revamping). I need help here to chose a team with the most prospects that I can move for more major league ready prospects and build a very young team that has a lot of ??? so I can have some fun in the other direction that I have been playing (winning a lot, positions guaranteed).
Here are a list of teams I am choosing between:
- Twins, Cubs, Marlins, Mets, Pirates, Brewers, Padres
Here are the things I want to build around:
- Tavares AND Profar
- Billy Hamilton or Jackie Bradley
- Very young SP rotation, mix of young/old bullpen
- I want no stars so would be dealing them off for a bunch of youth
Which team has the best chance to get Tavares and Profar, along with 1 of either Hamilton and Bradley, and also has a chance to trade for or already has a very young SP core?
Also, after stating which team, explain to me how I can get these things. This should get some good convo goingComment

You can start with the Marlins trade Stanton for Profar, Olt and company. Then flip Yelich and maybe Olt for Taveras. Then trade a couple of the other prospects you got in that deal... Buckel/etc. and Marisnick for Bradley or Hamilton. Then build your rotation around Fernandez, Nicolino, and PerezComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Is there any true logic in some of the random players the AI accepts in trades for certain teams? ie; I was messing around with some Col trades with me controlling Tigers. So I randomly put in Tuiasosopo and bam they want the deal. So curiousity got the best of me so I started plugging guys in and you wouldn't believe the guys they would give me straight up for him...with the exception of maybe 7-8 guys I could trade straight up for anyone I wanted. David Dahl for one who is an A prospect. What causes this? Position? I mean seriously Tuiasosopo!?!?!?
(But I stocked up on several players so I can go after Stanton.........ok not really but thought that may ruffle some feathers around here.)

Dudes, I'm really terrible at crafting realistic/fair trades and the like so I'm hoping you can help me out.
Starting a Cubs franchise with the OSFM rosters and I want to pry Giancarlo Stanton from the fish. However I don't want to part with much MLB talent off the bat if I can help it but I also don't want to completely screw them (they do a good enough job of that themselves already).
I'm figuring to give up my top few prospects and maybe one or two MLB outfielders since they'll obviously have a big hole there. I am also thinking of doing multiple transactions since three players would obviously not be nearly enough for a player like him.
Thoughts? Thanks gents.Currently Playing

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Theoretically, what package would the Yanks have to give up to re-acquire Jesus Montero from the Mariners?
On this trade I'm not looking for realism (because Montero's most likely not going back) but fairness.Comment

Buckel or Grimm or Ross.
Baez + Soler + some kind of SP prospect + Sczur, I'd think."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Hmm, I'm not sure they would want both outfielders. They already have yelich and marisnick waiting in the wings, plus I would be giving them a MLB level right fielder to fill that gap right away, so that would make three outfielders going to miami in this deal.Currently Playing
