I'm looking to get Profar in my Yanks 'chise. How about Fransisco Cervelli and the ever-so-aging Texeria? It works out, trust me!Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

He is what he is, he's not proving himself anymore. He's a consistent number #4 with flashes of brilliance (which is mistaken as inconsistency) and if he regresses he'll still be above league average.
No, but seriously, what do you guys think of Profar? I've been meaning to ask about him. My initial thoughts are Sanchez + Osuna + Gose for Profar, if I were to do anything like that."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

If only he weren't going to the Blue Jays for J.P. Arencibia and pocket lint to fill in for Reyes.

That is quite a good haul, all three are blue-chippers. I feel it's in the ballpark definitely.
Do you think the Rangers might want someone like Stroman or a 1B prospect in there also to put it over the top? (does Toronto have any good 1B prospects?) Would you be willing to add one of them hypothetically?
Also, I think Gose is the right choice of outfielder since he's close to ready, but maybe Alford or Davis would intrigue Texas.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Well I think Profar is the best prospect in baseball (I know shocking).

wOBA batting sabermetric. Brilliance? Have you seen 2012 stats?
Damn, I need him, how about Pettitte? He can lock down number 2 for many, many years.
Bautista, can't convince me otherwise. You can get Olt back with him as well as Martin.
Spoilerkidding, add Stroman and a C and it looks good
LOL couple good ones. But Stroman... I like Stroman lol."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Yeah, he's been quite good.
I think Alford's a nice fit there instead of Stroman. Similar ceilings, CF's more valuable, and hey, in a video game, Alford can't decide to go play football instead lol."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So here are a few trade ideas I came up with for Bud Norris:
Rangers get: Bud Norris
Astros get: SP Martin Perez (High B) and RP Roman Mendez (Mid C)
Yankees get: Bud Norris and RP Joe Musgrove (Mid C)
Astros get: CF Slade Heathcott (High B) and SP Brett Marshall (High C)
Red Sox get: Bud Norris and SP Cameron Lamb (High C)
Astros get: OF Bryce Brentz (Mid B) and SP Pat Light (Low B)
Royals get: Bud Norris
Astros get: SP John Lamb (Mid-Hi B) and RP Donnie Joseph (Low B)
So what do you guys think? Which deal is the fairest/most realistic? Should I be getting more for Norris or less?Comment

youre getting too much in return. Perez has A potential ability, and they wouldn't give him up for a solid back of the rotation guy.
Yankees get: Bud Norris and RP Joe Musgrove (Mid C)
Astros get: CF Slade Heathcott (High B) and SP Brett Marshall (High C)
I don't see the yanks going after him as they have a rather descent rotation.
Red Sox get: Bud Norris and SP Cameron Lamb (High C)
Astros get: OF Bryce Brentz (Mid B) and SP Pat Light (Low B)
No, no.
Royals get: Bud Norris
Astros get: SP John Lamb (Mid-Hi B) and RP Donnie Joseph (Low B)
Not a fan of this too much. Lamb is the Royals top pitching prospect now, and they wouldn't trade him for a 27 y/o back-of-th-rotation guy.

A Gentry/Martin platoon is underrated but Murphy seems like he'll be gone soon and so does Cruz. Both in my opinion.

Slightly too much
Yankees get: Bud Norris and RP Joe Musgrove (Mid C)

Fine.
Red Sox get: Bud Norris and SP Cameron Lamb (High C)
Astros get: OF Bryce Brentz (Mid B) and SP Pat Light (Low B)
Absolutely nothing wrong with this.
Royals get: Bud Norris
