At the deadline with 30 team control, I need to start making some trades for teams not named the Chicago Cubs lol. Currently, the teams in "playoff push mode" are the Red Sox, Yankees, Jays, Twins, Indians, Angels, Rangers, Braves, Nationals, Phillies, Reds, Brewers, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, and Dodgers.
Here's a few trades that I'm thinking of, after looking at the spreadsheet.
Yankees get: Jake Peavy SP (A)
White Sox get: Angelo Gumbs 2B (B) + Jose Campos SP (B)/Jose Ramirez (B)
Rangers get: David Price SP (A)
Rays get: Profar (A) + Olt (A) + Perez (B) + Grimm (B)
Indians get: Ricky Nolasco
Marlins get: Fabio Martinez SP (C) + Dillon Howard (B)
Brewers get: Huston Street RP (B) [pitching very well, with 23 saves]
Padres get: Nick Heckathorn SP (C) + Jed Bradley SP (B)
Phillies get: Jhoulys Chacin SP (B)
Rockies get: Tyler Cloyd SP (B)/Adam Morgan SP (B)
and here's a few trades for my team that I'm thinking of:
Dodgers get: Matt Garza SP (B) + Darwin Barney 2B (C)
Cubs get: Zach Lee SP (B) + Corey Seager 3B (B) + Chris Reed SP (B)
Red Sox get: Matt Garza SP (B) + Chris Rusin SP (B)
Cubs get: Matt Barnes SP (A) + Henry Owens SP (B)
Red Sox get: Matt Garza SP (B)
Cubs get: Rubby De La Rosa (B) + Henry Owens (B)
Indians get: Nate Schierholtz OF (C)
Cubs get: Giovanni Soto SP (C)
with the Garza trade scenarios, I like the Dodgers trade the best, as Barney fills a hole for them with a gold glove at 2B. I'm fine with giving up Barney.
With the deals that don't involve the Cubs, I really don't care, so criticize away. I tried to match things up with the spreadsheet, but if you guys don't think they're fair, I'm willing to make changes. Also, if there are any other big trades that you guys think could/should happen, let me know. I just don't want to have a trade deadline with no deals in my franchise. There needs to be some player movement.
Thanks!
