    Red Sox get :
    Giancarlo Stanton

    Marlins get:
Will Middlebrooks 86 Overall B potential
Allen Webster 87 overall A Potential
Carmen Lucero (Drafted power hitting 1b prospect Top 50)

In addition, I made a seperate trade given the amount of players the game allows you to trade.

    Red Sox get:
Kyle Lohse (61 overall in decline)

    Marlins get:
Teddy Stankevitch SP (Top 50 prospect)
Will Cole 2B (Top 50 prospect)

So in essence I gave up an MLB third baseman, a future front of teh rotation starter, and 3 top 50 prospects for Stanton. Fair? Overpay? Your thoughst?
As a Red Sox fan, I would love to get off that easy with Stanton. But he would command Bogaerts, Barnes, Bradley, Webster, and Owens. He is a top RF at 23 (25 in your 'chise).

As for the Lohse trade, overpay. 2 A's for him is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. Try Ranaudo and Marrero (mid B, mid B).

    EDIT: Misread. Trade is fine.

I'm pretty sure he threw those in for the Stanton trade.

It can happen. Probably not to the same team though.

I'm thinking of sending CC to the M's. They are now 7 games up of the division. Their pitching has been strong. However Felix is out on the 15 day DL and Iwakuma is out for 38 days. Would I be able to get Taijuan from them? I'm sure if the M's where in the hunt they wouldn't mind trading for another ace.

No Taijuan. You MAY get Hultzen, but that's about it.

Maybe Tex out to the Rockies? They are a game out of the WC and 5 of the division. Could I get Story from them? If not the Rockies then the Pirates (1.5 games ahead of the Cards) or the Giants (division leaders). Belt is now hitting .214.

Pirates for Bell and Heredia. Rockies for Story.

So here's a quick recap. CC to the M's for Taijuan and a C prospect? and Tex to the Rockies for Story? or to the Pirates for Taillon? or the Giants for Crick?

No, Maybe, NO, Yes (add a C if Crick is a B)

Here are the stats for both:

        CC 8-4 3.11 era
        Tex .298 22 HR 67 RBI

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That is just my opinions. I'm low on C.C. and Texeria due to their ages.

I can see the Mariners giving up Hultzen for CC but I'm iffy on them giving up Walker. Maybe someone else can clarify for me?

As for Tex, I don't think he's worth an A. You could shoot for Luis Heredia from the Pirates along with another low B prospect. You could get Gary Brown and Clayton Blackburn from the Giants and Tyler Matzek + Eddie Butler from the Rox

I personally think the Pirates are the best fit for him.

I'm thinking he doesn't play with the OSFM rosters though. All those prospects are CPU generated.

Well he is in his 3rd year, so I figured those were draftees.

The CPU generated prospects were draftees. I've scouted and drafted pretty well. Sometimes if I have a player whose profile and position matches an actual draftee, I rename them. Ex: Trey Ball

Wish I posted this before making the trade. I may have moved Doubront instead of Webster. However, with Webster gone the door has opened for Matt Barnes

Pedro Alvarez to LAD for Seager & Paco Rodriguez? I'd prefer Zach Lee but I know they won't move him. Not sure about Seager. Realistic?

PS I'm not going to do Story for Taillon. Story will strike out too much.

I honestly don't think the Bucs would want Tex. Definitely not for that price if at all...

I think the Rockies would be much more willing to give up Trevor Story than Matzek + Butler. Story probably has the highest upside, but they don't really have a spot for him and obviously the Rockies need pitching a lot more than a SS/3B blocked behind Tulo and Arenado.

I don't see the Rockies giving up Story for an injury prone 1st baseman who's already started to decline. They've already got Helton, Cuddyer, Colvin, Pacheco who can all play first.

IRL the Rockies are very high on Story, and I would have to say that I may see them sending Matzek somewhere. They're starting to grow weary of his inability to throw strikes, but they can't seem to let go of his potential as a power lefty.

Even if they're in contention, I just don't see them giving up Story or a pair of pitching prospects for Tex. It may be fair, but it is certainly not realistic.

Yeah I can agree with that. I guess it would really depend on stats. Even if Helton has been performing poorly, they could move Cuddyer to 1st. If Cuddyer is performing poorly, they also have Colvin and Pacheco.

DaBull is probably right. Tex is already 33 and making a ton of $$$, so I don't think that move would happen in real life.

This is a move I could actually see happening.

Like I said, they are quickly running out of patience with Matzek and his inability to put the ball over the plate. Even though he has outstanding stuff, his command leaves a lot to desire.

The Rockies boast one of the deepest group of catching prospects in baseball. With Rosario entrenched as the starter, and a plethora of guys working their way up (namely their recent draftee Tom Murphy), I could see them be more than willing to give up Swanner+ to pick up a front line starter.

I think you're on to something here. Come up with a proposal and we'll see what we've got.
