From the EA website...

Sadly NHL 14 won't be coming out for PS4.
Which means that you also won't be able to upgrade the game to the digital version aswell for $9.99.

My local gamestop lied to me again. They said no nhl on ps4. I am going to walmart right now!

I have to run past there again in about an hour.
I'll run in and snap a picture of it (if they let me) and show you guys.

Maybe it was NHL13 or something IDK, Im not a Hockey gamer, but I was playing some sort of Hockey game.

People who don't own a PS4 like I and many others do are the only ones I can see not buying the next generation version. As anyone else who is of sound mind will be dropping $60 to make their TV's cry of next gen graphical joy!

Not just for The Show, but for PS4 in general, my decision will be entirely based on whether or not MP3 support and Sounds of the Show are implemented.

Not on the new console yet. Probably an update in the future.

there is NO nhl game on my ps4 or anybody else ps4 .......sports games madden,nba live,nba2k,fifa,mlb show (soon).....no NHL

I am sticking with 13 as I am having too much fun and I never buy consoles when they first come out anymore. Did that with PS1 and PS2 and really learned it's not worth it until several years after their release.


It's not the money for me at all……it's the true quality of the games and feeling like it is a true upgrade in terms of gameplay…..not graphics….we know graphics are a given.

Sports games take a few cycles to really hit their stride…much more so than non-sports games.

I will be jealous I can't get into the conversation and all the excitement around here (in regards to 14 for both consoles). I love sharing my passion of The Show just as much as everyone else here.

Spot-on, A&S. I didn't get a PS3 until May 2010, so I'm in no hurry to abandon it, or my "new" 360 (upgraded to 250gb model thanks to a great trade-in off GS had around Christmas 2011). I've got plenty of games for both to play, and with The Show, I can play 10, 11, 12 and 13 for several more years easy.

Yeah, I'll be a little envious of those playing the PS4 version, but I have no real desire to get one this year.

Got to go with the PS4 version. I don't buy many games... usually just baseball, hockey, and one action/adventure/shooter game a year. The graphics upgrade will be nice, but the real magic is the improved AI (or expected improvement). So many games get boring because developers were limited in what they can do in that area. That problem has gone away.

I was close to buying a PS3 the last 2 years for The Show, being a huge baseball fan, but waited it out for the PS4. I'm going to love my decision. With work and not having much time to play games anymore, I couldn't justify having 2 consoles of the same generation.

That would be backward compatible which of course it wasn't. You must have played NHL for the 4. How was it BTW?
