I'd really like to see some examples of the trade logic in franchise with injuries off.

Any improvement to CPU AI especially OF routes always being perfect? Do runners round 3rd correctly now on their way home or are they still in mud? Infiedler animations (I hate when they back and or lolly-gag when a fast runner is burning down the line).

I'd be curious about this as well, but isn't the speculation that trade logic is the same as 13 in offline franchise?

Does Prince Fielder have a different body build from last year because he's changed his weight and does he still have the braids?

Just in case I do not like the new "dynamic fielding indicator" will the old fielding indicator still be available? The only way I could see myself not liking it is if I keep misjudging fly balls all the time. Hopefully it's not that hard to get used to.

Would love to see a blog on how this works.

Yes, but it'd be nice to start some comparisons
I'm really more interested in the other questions being answered, though

That's like saying "why can't they make pitching just like the other positions? Yes, make them field the bunts and popups and comebackers, why add the difficulty of throwing pitches?"

The Pitcher and the Catcher can't be compared to any other position on the diamond. They have unique responsibilities that are nothing like that of any other fielder.

Also, infielders do have to account for hops when fielding.
Let me clarify what I meant. I know that Pitcher/Catcher are different overall since they have to deal with the pitches.

Are you saying that when you are fielding a ground ball (in this game) with an infielder, that you have to move an icon to adjust your fielder to the bad hop? If not, then the fielders do not have to account for hops. Fundamentally, a ball in the dirt for a catcher is no different than a 1B/2B/SS/3B having to account for a bad hop on the infield. The catcher even knows what is coming, so he can even account for a somewhat knowledgeable reaction to where the ball is going to skirt to (generally, to an extent). Basically, a curveball in the dirt will generally behave one way, and a fastball will behave another. But a fastball will rarely, if ever, behave like a curveball. You don't have any of that as a regular infielder.

So why must you specifically have to block a poorly pitched ball in the dirt, but not have to account for bad hops as a regular infielder.

The rest of the changes I am fine with, and they are a welcomed change because playing as a Catcher was unusable. And who knows...maybe I'll like it. It just seems like more work that has the potential to negatively impact playing that mode.

My point is that catching a ball as a Catcher is no more cumbersome for that Catcher as it is for a Shortstop as it is for a First Baseman as it is for an Outfielder, so why does the Catcher have a special mechanic for it when the others do not? If you choose to play as a First Baseman, you don't have a sudden aiming reticle to catch a ball that is short-hopped to you or have to scoop out of the dirt, so why should a Catcher.

Gotcha. I think they made it that way because they figure a majority of people who would be interested in playing as a catcher would also be interested in playing out the nuances of that position. Catchers specifically have a "blocking" rating in the game because blocking those balls in the dirt is so important to the defense. It's one of the most important aspects of being a catcher.

I'd really like to know if the Mets blue alternates made this years game

Apparently no blue alternates but they went with those ridiculous military alternates which will probably only be worn a handful of times through the season. Silly choice there.

Same with the Rays fake throwback how does that take priority over their light blue alternates? Oh well.

Are there any real-life options to replace your coach with? Maybe coaches that were fired last season like they do with the free agent pool?

For 2014, the Mets will wear a military-camouflage alternate jersey in Monday evening home games beginning April 21.

SCEA can only include uniforms from the official style guide. There's no hidden motivations here. If they could include it, I'm sure they would have.
