Thanks man. For those wondering about unis. Here you go

Uni Watch gets you ready for baseball season by detailing all of the changes you can expect to see on the baseball diamond.

I'm also curious in future versions if they'll add Bat knobs. Probably could be done on PS4 but who knows.....

Thanks for chiming in, we talked over a year ago so I'm a little foggy with the details

The only site that does manual classifications is brooks baseball, all others pull data straight from gameday so the classifications are the same.

To me the lack of pitch type variety comes down to time management - It takes me months to compile all of the data and translate that into the game. if I were on a tight schedule I would definitely go with what's readily available and call it good enough.

If you look at the one site that does manual classifications (brooks baseball), they have a team of people adjusting the data nearly 24/7... but it still takes someone culling through the data () and translating pitch types into "The Show's" pitch types. It really is a lot of work!

By changing the 0-99 you are changing the letter grade.
We'll have to fiddle with the editor and see when the grades change from C- to C and then C+ etc.....
Changing ratings does NOT change potential(that would be counter productive, right!?)....

Are the Orioles batting helmets for home finally fixed this year, or are they still solid black with the orange bill?

Did a search and can't find this so apologies if this has been answered. Do you need a Playstation Plus on PS4 to get to the roster vault and OSFM?

No you don't need PS Plus for roster updates or the Vault. However you do need it for online multiplayer modes though.

Excellent. That helps with the timing of the cash outlay for a system and the game. Can put off multiplayer until the next paycheck or 2.

Sorry for not being clear, but by "manual classification" I meant working off of a rawer form data, like calling a pitch with certain position offset a curve ball using Pitch F/X, etc. As in, SCEA may be manually transforming raw PITCHf/x data into The Show's rating scheme by computer algorithm, as opposed to them using such transformed data directly from MLB. (Yes, it's not clear I know...)

The devs do look at PITCHf/x data for understanding baseball and designing the game, but that doesn't mean the player rating itself directly comes from them. Someone need to label those pitches according to The Show's game system.

Time may of course be a factor, but I think the biggest reason as to why pitch rating has not evolved in the way someone like you seanjeezy have been hoping is that the current system in The Show isn't designed for accommodating the kind of pitch-editing philosophy you have.

You like the pitches to move like they do in real life, regardless of how the pitch is called/labeled by somebody. However, The Show's system requires a pitch to be labeled in a very specific way, and that pitch is always expected to break in certain way. In that labeling process, some information about the pitch must necessarily get lost.

So I'm actually hoping The Show's system evolves in a slightly different direction from the current one. :P

Thanks NYYanks26. It looks like that the Left on Base (LOB) for inning totals have been corrected from last year. They even added the number of pitches thrown for each inning. Thanx SD Studios.

Was wondering what the player cards looked like?

e.g. Miggy, does it show previous stats as well as awards?

Maybe something only when Online Franchise is available.

                              Thanks.

Hey for the guys who have the game have you noticed that we can no longer turn off the special HR camera? (for no doubters) is this camera now forced on when using the new dynamic camera? I cant find the setting anywhere in the options cause i really like the new dynamic camera but dont want that HR treatment
