Alright, fellas, big stats update. I'm 25 games in, in the final week of Spring Training. You know the settings: DD, QC, Classic Pitching, Timing Hitting, Default Sliders, except Pitch Speed 0 and Starter Stamina 6. I played all games in full.
I'm OAK, so I play for OBP and emphasize quality pitching, as best I can.

I feel like we pitched well, and some of the larger ERAs came from keeping guys in too long before I made a stamina slider adjustment. Still, I'm solid in the rotation and pen; I have some really tough decisions to make in the pen at a couple of spots.

Crisp: 20 G, 61 AB, .230 AVG, 1 HR, 6 RBI, .277 OBP, .344 SLG, 4 BB, 12 K

Punto: 23 G, 36 AB, .222 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, .282 OBP, .222 SLG, 3 BB, 6 K
Gentry: 21 G, 52 AB, .250 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, .344 OBP, .250 SLG, 8 BB, 6 K
Vogt: 8 G, 14 AB, .214 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, .267 OBP, .214 SLG, 1 BB, 5 K

Haas: 7 G, 14 AB, .357 AVG, 1 HR, 4 RBI, .400 OBP, .643 SLG, 1 BB, 2 K
Parrino: 14 G, 26 AB, .077 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, .111 OBP, .192 SLG, 1 BB, 6 K
As you can see, I K a lot, mostly because I go down looking on borderline pitches with 2 strikes in search of walks. I'm going to have to adjust. I also just have lots of borderline starters in the lineup, and I'm a bit worried. If Crisp, Donaldson and Moss don't pick it up, I'm toast. Gentry played his role well, as did Callaspo and Norris, but the other two spots, which look like they may go to Barton and Fuld, aren't inspiring confidence.
The takeaway:
Please feel free to weigh in/critique the results. I'm an average player at best and am learning as a baseball fan, so I don't know as well as many of you which stats are good and which are off. I included as many relevant stats as I could imagine would be useful, but I can add a few more if there are critical ones that are in question.
I hope this offers a useful picture of how the mode can work, given how I play, my team, etc. I feel like every game is unique, and clearly I'm getting competitive play. I just need more consistency at the plate.
Fire away!
