The quality and strategy of CPU pitching just feels a little more like real baseball than it does at default on vet, vet+, or AS. I just felt like I was wasting my time with working my way up the mode when I already knew HOF fits my sill level almost perfectly.

Also, I don't like difficulty feeling like such an ever present part of the game. Being reminded of the difficulty and progress level every half inning gets into my head a little bit, and I found myself playing for progress more than I was simply trying to play fundamental baseball.

If you've ever obsessed over finding the right sliders, or making your own slider tweaks, I'm sure you can relate on some level. There's just something about being constantly conscious of the difficulty level(ESPECIALLY on a per half inning basis) that not only messes with my approach, but it also ruins some of the immersion for me.

I went back to HOF accross the board for my last handful of games, and it feels like I picked up right where I left off with '13. I can certainly understand the appeal of DD, however, it is not for me.
I feel the same way. I have played about a dozen game using dynamic difficulty, and I am at about HoF so it' s roughly what I feel I should be. I have not made a serious run for higher levels yet.

I wish the mode actually takes a bit more than OPS and run differential into account for demotion/promotion. Rookie through All-star was a breeze for me, but my approach kinda suffered because I was hacking with Power swing all the time to accelerate the promotion.

Ideally, I think the dynamic difficulty should consider standard performance as well as something deeper like plate discipline stats. Then I am actually more interested in some system that actually informs the gamer where he stands and how he could improve.

Also some way for the game to converge to the right difficulty level quicker, either by making the initial difficulty customizable or by doing binary search type of thing.

But some people who aren't as familiar with the game may still benefit from dynamic difficulty adjustment.

So 15games into my reds season I am 11-4.
I am at all star pitching and just went up to HOF hitting last game.
Boy the cubs are just horrible. Lol
Last two games beat them 11-0 in which I one hit them and 8-2.
Before that the game was getting a lot harder.

I am having a hard time scoring runs. Maybe its cause i play with Cubs but 3 runs for me is a great game. I was at All Star level hitting and now down to Vet. Pitching im at Vet+ but every game i give up 3 or fewer. Not sure why i havent moved to All Star for pitching. Enjoying game just like to score more runs.

Same here. I usually play on All-Star for both hitting and pitching. Tried out DD just for hitting and seeing the progress every at-bat was getting in my head too. It really messed me up in RTTS. I was so concerned with difficulty progress that my player went into a horrific slump because I wasn't concentrating. Went back to All-Star and we'll see how it goes from there. I was stuck on All-Star on DD anyway for quite awhile so that is obviously where my skill set is at.

I am guessing its because the Cubs line up is so weak.
Not being mean but they are just horrible on this game.

They are bad. I changed 1 thing i was doing and it seems to be helping big time. I play on timing and was using power button until i had 2 strikes. Now i decided to use just regular swing no matter what the count is. I scored 7 runs 1st game and 10 second game. I hit 0 HR but alot of doubles. My pitching finally is an All Star

What I always do is use normal swing until I'm ahead by 2 pitches or more(I.e. 2-0, 3-1) then I'll use power swing I always take a 3-0 pitch. Then I'll use contact swing with two strikes unless it gets back to a full count then I switch back to normal swing.

Also contact swing is hitter based for me, to use the Yankees as a example:

Jeter gets to use it along with Gardner, Ellsbury, Beltran, Roberts, and Ichiro. While guys like McCann Tex and Soriano don't get to.

Just not sure I am going to be able to stick with DD.
25 games in and I am just dominating in my Reds season.
I am 18-7 leading the league with a .318 team average (I am up to HOF difficulty on both pitching and hitting) and I am leading the league with a 2.08 team ERA.
It seems to be just way too easy. Just won 3 in a row today and all 3 were blowouts.

                    I don't get this.

If all three were blowouts, wouldn't you have been promoted?

And at 18-7, you've just now probably begun to stablize. I bet if you track your stats from this game forward the stats would be more even. Your current numbers are cumulative including those of levels you were too good for; levels which you've since graduated.

And DD or not, there has to be blowouts. They're a big part of baseball.

U would think so but I am 7-1 my last 8 games.
I just swept the Pirates by scores of 8-1, 9-0, and 7-2.
I had over 15 hits in all 3 games.
I was promoted 3 games ago to HOF for both hitting and pitching.
Yet I dominated all 3 games.

Ok. So just to be clear this is 3 stable games on HOF. Not 25.

3 games in a row with blowouts is fine and apart of baseball.

Report back after another 5-10 games. I'd be stunned if either of these things didn't happen:

                        1. You start struggling and your stats begin to settle or
                        2. You keep dominating and get a promotion

Again, I wouldn't worry just yet. It's only been three games on HOF. You just sound locked in. Have you adjusted any sliders?

                              Just the pitchers stamina.
Kind of think it is silly to adjust much since the DD is supposed to make things harder.

Last year i always played on All Star level and seemed to have good games. Now on DD i am at All Star level for both and can tell i wont be moving any time soon. I say DD doing its job. I felt coming in i was All Star level and its exactly where i am. It does seem i dont hit as many HR in DD as i would in just in All Star level but that could be cause Cubs hitters have bad power lol.
