Tbarnes notified scea of the issue but is still hasn't been fixed http://www.operationsports.com/forum...8&postcount=68
1) Stop replying to yourself.
2) Please don't create multiple threads addressing the same issue as you've done here.
3) Should you create multiple threads, at least keep up with what's being said. I already mentioned that tabarnes submitted this as a bug report and it was declared addressed by the developers.
Now, this is just helpful advice to a rookie. Take it for what it's worth or don't, up to you.Comment

You're not they only one, trust me. We all feel like we've been screwed a bit here. That being said, I've seen few online places that get things done, fixed, or at least mentioned like this one.Comment

Yeah, I think quite a few of us on PS3 feel we have been screwed by them a little this year. They had in previous years been very good in fixing franchise mode issues, if there was no workaround, but this year its no tlooking to promising. I still have a little faith they will fix it, but I am losing patience as Im sure a lot of people are. Thankfully I kept 13 and I do enjoy playing it still, but gameplay wise, and the addition of QC's in 14 does make it tougher playing 13 now. I find myself cutting thru a lot of stuff now, where as in the past I always let it play out, lol. Atleast franchise mode in 13 isnt broken to the point of unplayable like 14.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Ok, Now I completely get the issue. However, after brainstorming a little bit, there may be an easier fix then completely doing everything for each team manually.
30 team control will still be necessary. However, because we can change the settings at any time, as to what the CPU handles, and doesn't handle, try this.
At the start of EACH period (IE resigning, conract renewal period, etc., set things to auto for a couple days, then back to manual. I think the "CPU" teams will offer SOME, but not ALL players contracts, and then once you set it to manual, they will stop. This will lead to players still hitting the open market.
Then, once free agency starts, simply set conracts back to auto, and the CPU teams will sign free agents.
Keep in mind, that once the renewal period hits, these teams with the setting on AUTO will simply renew the contracts of those players, instead of offering them longer term contracts (I think)
Not sure if this will work completely. I will test it a bit later, and report back.
Just a thought. If it works, it could be a life saver, until a patch hits (if it does)Comment

Ok, so I did a little testing, and it seems the "FIX" is even easier, at least for me. I can live with the contracts the CPU gives to the arbitration eligible, and contract renewable players (those ones not yet eligible for free agency) if I get a realistic Free Agent market.
30 Team Control is still needed.
What you do, is when the off season hits, set the profile for the other 29 teams (or the teams you wish to not control) to everything auto, except Free Agency, and Contracts.
Now, sim until the day before the last day of exclusive negotiations with your current free agents (marked on the schedule by a star). Now, on the CPU teams profiles, switch Free Agency, and Contracts back to Auto, and sim through that last day of exclusivity. (after you have made qualifying offers, and such for your team of course).
Now, when you look at the Free Agency market, you will see a realistic amount of players hitting the market. Some will already have offers from their respective teams, some will not. Teams will have signed some of their impending free agents, but not all.
Remember, with 30 team control, even with everything set to auto, if you see a team offering a player a contract that they realistically shouldn't, you can go to that team, and withdraw the offer.
Keep in mind, the problem really isn't with the signing of the players not eligible for free agency yet, but rather with the teams having enough budget room to sign ALL their players who can be free agents, thus limiting the free agent market. By only giving these teams 2 days to do this, instead of 5, it leads to more players hitting the open market, while still receiving offers from their old club. These teams still can, and will negotiate conracts, renew contracts, and offer arbitration to their players who aren't eligible for free agency.
Hope this helps everyone out.Last edited by ktd1976; 06-01-2014, 01:13 AM.Comment

I noticed it was closed to a while back too. I get the feeling they really could care less about the PS3 now that the PS4 is out, so were probably SOL. Its not right by any means, but NBA2k14 devs did the same thing once the NG console came out, they shafted the CG console guys. You expect that out of 2k because they have been know to be shady to a degree, but its not something you expected out of MLBTS guys, they have typically been upstanding guys. I definitely have a lower opinion of them now, and wont be so quick to buy day 1 again. Im really surprised by their actions this year to us PS3 users.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

I still think they are hard at work for patches for both the ps3 and 4 and that's why it's been so quiet around here. But if not yes the peg will be lowered in my opinion.

I hope your right, but I have definitely lost some faith in these guys on fixing the PS3. I hope its me just being pessimistic, but I just got a feeling us PS3 guys are getting the shaft. I hope Im proven wrong and I will be the 1st to admit I was wrong if they indeed do fix it. Always have had a lot of faith in SCEA because up until now they had always been top notch and the best in the business at being honest and doing us right, so Im definitely surprised by whats happened this year.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11
